Raleigh, NC - In a ordinary working class neighborhood here in the North Carolina capital local police officer Michael Jenson patrols on foot. It is, he says, the best way to establish a rapport with the children and teens that live along his beat. That rapport is needed to “get ahead†of the kids as they approach the deadly pitfalls awaiting them.
“I have to be able to warn them,†says Ofc. Jenson. “I have to let them know. It’s like they’re my own kids.†These days the biggest danger Ofc. Jenson fears is the growing use of Placebos.

Placebos, as in pills that don't do anything, but you think they do?
So... is it really dangerous?

Sugar and salt are the top of the list for addiction.
I did learn years ago that coke addicts needed lots of sugar, why, who knows. Just a coworker that put 5 bags of sugar in their coffee every morning and I asked why.
The facts are we parents addict our kids to sugar at very early age. Some infants refuse to drink water so parent puts a bit of sugar in the bottle and infant grows up to be hipper active.
I know this was just a joke, but there in lays truth that we ignore.
Many a Truth is said in JEST.

No matter how absurd I try to write my parodies there is always some liberal who comes along and proves me right.

The story was funny, but the responses were more funny. :rotf:

Think of the frustration that Limbaugh goes through, illustrating absurdity by being absurd (he thinks), and the very next week it's official government policy.
You and he need to start copyrighting these things; the royalties ought to be worth a fortune.
