WASHINGTON -(Dow Jones)- Two top House Democrats requested Tuesday that the Congressional Research Service conduct an analysis into whether recent legislation to strip federal funds from community-organizing group Acorn is unconstitutional.
House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers Jr., D-Mich., and House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank, D-Mass., want details on how proposed House and Senate legislation could be deeming Acorn guilty of illegal activity and punishing it without the benefit of a trial or being proven guilty.
Additionally, Conyers and Frank want the videotaping to be investigated. " Conflicting allegations have been made about the propriety of these activities," a letter to the research center read. "Please research and report on the federal and state laws that could apply to such videotaping and distribution of conversations without the consent of all parties."

And so it begins...

I'm sure our resident liberal constitutional scholar Llue would tell us that you cannot use people's own words to smear them and as such the government has a duty to suppress any mention of child sex slavery without the consent of all parties.

I saw Geraldo on Fox News the other day discussing this and knew it wasn't going to be the last time someone brings the subject up. I don't think they'll rest until they can press charges against O'Keefe and Giles, and have them arrested.
-
Never mind that child sex, human smuggling stuff. We should totally investigate the videotaping itself, not what the tapes revealed.
Reason #500283 for term limits, immediately.

Wanna bet that these two are knee deep into ACORN??

Does a bear crap in the woods?

I had read something about stripping the funding may be illegal/unconstitutional as it was the same as a "bill of attainder".

Does a bear crap in the woods?
Not under EPA rules.
