Best advice to a 15 year old female:
Trust in yourself.
Do not let others define your self-worth.
You are much more than a vagina.

It must be a miracle that most decent and civilized people are able to raise their daughters
into fine young women, because few of them received ANY of the advice these DUmmies advocate.

21. and continue doing so for the rest of your life
because attraction from many/most men is initially driven by appearance almost exclusively.
...which doesn't mean don't practice good grooming, hygeine and don't take care of yourself.
Definitely do all that - but know that YOU are NOT just your "looks" and that other people's
judgements of you are irrelevant. What matters most is your OWN opinion of yourself. BELIEVE
in yourself, even if no one else does - ESPECIALLY if no one else does (and especially if they're
guys).
(I wish someone had told me this when I was a teen)
Odds are that DUmmy Triana looks like a cross between Willie Nelson and one of the creatures
at that bar in the first Star Wars movie.
That's really unfortunate, because, as a DUmmy, she surely has an atrocious personality as well.

5. Every nurse I know with teenagers in the house of either sex
Keeps a box of condoms in a place it can be accessed quietly. They refill it as needed without
comment.
Wow. Can you imagine your 15-year-old daughter yelling down the stairs, "Dad, we're out
of rubbers again!"

16. My wife is a certified nurse midwife and lets our daughters know that any of their friends
can come to her for their needs with no questions asked and no disclosure. She's helped out
a couple over the years.
One must wonder if she delivers out-of-wedlock babies, or performs illegal abortions.
Then there's that one piece of advice everyone gives their young girls:

11. Group sex will not make you popular or respected.
That advice is wise, but only half true.
DUmmy DavidDvorkin, whose dry spell is rivalled only by stevenumbers, shares his pickup line:

Ignore the prudes.

Advice to 15 year old girls from somebody who was one only 9 years ago:
Your friends probably aren't really as experienced as they (or you) think they are.
It is okay to be a virgin, nobody who matters really cares.
Right now, school is more important than dating.
You are beautiful just as you are.
Boys really can just be friends.
Sex will not make your relationships easier.
You can fall in love again.

You are more than a vagina here is a box of condoms ho

I've got a few more years of relative peace, but I'll remember this for my kids. Especially my daughter, heaven help me when she gets to be a teen.

Best advice a father can give to anyone dating their daughter.
" I have a .45 and a shovel. You bring my daughter back in the same condition that you picked her up and no one will be the worse for wear. If you don't then you may want to consider a career flying rubber dog shit out of Hong Kong".

Sounds like one of Neal Bortz's "Rules For Dating My Daughter"....
"I realize it's the fashion these days for kids to wear their pants with the waist down to the bottom of their butt cheeks, but not if you intend to date my daughter. I have a nail gun and I will use it to properly attach your pants to your waist."
"Sometimes the Agent Orange kicks in and I forget where I am. When this happens, I take down all my guns and start cleaning them. Just mention the secret perimeter password, deliver her to the doorstep, and leave. The face behind the curtain wearing camo is mine...."

H5s to Airwolf and DD for those. I'd like to add this one:
Take the prospective boyfriend shooting. At the end of the session, put up a man silhouette and either blast it with a load of buckshot, or do what Mel Gibson's character did on the range to the target Danny Glover's character shot in the Lethal Weapon movies (I think it was the third one). Then, retrieve the target, and say, "Keep this. Please be nice to my daughter." And add one of these while saying this: :-)

Your wasting your time talking to the boys when you allow your daughter to wear see through blouses and skirts cut up to their You-hoo.
On the other hand, you can dress your daughter as a Nun and she can still get HERSELF in trouble.
We all focus on the male sex drive but for some reason refuse to admit that not only do females have just as strong a drive but they have the emotional, " I'm in love', aspect.
Then there is the controll issue, when a young girl finds with just the expectation of sex she can drive a male to become a quivering lump of putty, for the first time in her life she has controll.
15 is way too old to start worrying about a daughter unless she is for some reason, looks or personality unable [ Yet ] to attract the male. to talk about sex.
One thing I did learn raising 2 girls --- It in not the boys that hang out at the house I worried about, it was the bad boys that attracted the girls that I never knew they knew.
The boys they dated and knew that I would have had a hissie fit about.
Raising teenager girls gives me some insight why the Muslem Culture put their girls in Burkas the day they start having periods.
I would be willing to raise 9 teenage boys today rather then one girl----Wow they take a parent on a ride of their life, emotionally and financially.
But then the old saying holds true,-- A son is a son until they take a wife, a daughter is a daughter all of her life.

Thanks for this thread. My daughters are 4 and 7.
I hate you all.

I have a 14 year old son....and now he has 2 parts of his body that is hard as a rock.
My wife hates it when I talk like that.....but hell, it's true.

I have a 16 year old girl...we talk about love, life, sex, etc more often than I ever thought we would. But I don't tell her "Here are some condoms, go have fun", I talk to her about responsiblilty, and making good choices, and being careful to not "get caught up in the moment". Heck, I've now become the mom the girls come to talk to about boyfriends, because they can't talk to their moms. And it's not about sex, it'a about relationships in general.

Save yourself for marriage. Have fist sex in the meantime.
