Jimmy Carter - animosity toward Obama based on his race
"In an interview with NBC's Brian Williams, former Democratic President Jimmy Carter attributed much of the conservative opposition that President Obama is receiving to the issue of race.
"I think an overwhelming portion of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man," Carter said. "I live in the South, and I've seen the South come a long way, and I've seen the rest of the country that share the South's attitude toward minority groups at that time, particularly African Americans."
Carter continued, "And that racism inclination still exists. And I think it's bubbled up to the surface because of the belief of many white people, not just in the South but around the country, that African-Americans are not qualified to lead this great country. It's an abominable circumstance, and it grieves me and concerns me very deeply."

15. I think Janeane Garofolo was the first to call them out on their racism.
She did it on Keith Olbermann's show fairly soon after Obama took office.
And they hated her for calling them out on it. The truth hurts.

It doesn't say much about them or the president when, instead of arguing on the merits of their policies they just start screaming racism. Every president in history has faced criticism. President Bush was excoriated daily. But anything uttered against the POLICIES and legislative agenda of the left is racist because the man sitting in the White House is half black. I dread to think how bad it would be if he was 100% black and had slave blood.

They've tossed it out there so many times in the last four decades that it no longer carries any meaning. Conservatives are finally fed up and now that they're starting to find their voice they won't be dissuaded by it.
There's just too much about Barack Obama's agenda that one can disagree with without it all being about race and every honest person can see that.
