Oh my.

In case one's wondering, there's no misspellings by the greenbriar primitive in this bonfire, because she copied and pasted someone else's work, rather than composing her own.

House Dems to rebuke Wilson today

WASHINGTON – Barring a last-minute apology to Congress, Republican Rep. Joe Wilson of South Carolina faces what is likely to be a partisan vote scolding him for shouting "You lie!" at President Barack Obama.

Democratic aides said House leaders were preparing to introduce a resolution of disapproval Tuesday afternoon, with a vote likely later in the day.

Democrats confirmed Monday night that they were moving forward with the rebuke.

Wilson has apologized to the White House for his outburst last week during Obama's speech to Congress. But Democrats say Wilson also should apologize to Congress for what they call an unprecedented breach of decorum.

Wilson has refused to do so, saying his initial apology was sufficient

1. I hope they do, but it will accomplish nothing, unfortunately.

4. reprimand

Hope they do. Such action by Wilson is an affront and lack of respect to the position of the Presidency. I am sure he has only done it because Obama is black. He has smeared the office of Representatives of "we the people" with the ugliest action. He should be tared, feathered and driven out of Congress...

6. That is not what he would be reprimanded for

It will be for House decorum and will have nothing to do with the President

5. What they should do is take the written rules of decorum and tear them up in front of the whole body and see if Republicans object to that? Republicans don't have any problems with Republicans breaking the rules or laws but if any democrat were to be so bold Holy Hell would follow.

Yeah, yeah.

Meghan Kelly, on Fox this morning, asked some Democratic guy (not sure who he was) if shouldn't the House be spending their time doing what they are being paid to do, like straighten out health reform...instead of wasting time on rebuking Wilson when the President has already accepted his apology?

The guy said a "line needs to be drawn in the sand" and people realize this behavior isn't acceptable...."our school children need to know"....

Meghan said shouldn't Pelozi have thought about that when she was calling protestors Nazis?

Go Meghan!!!!

One thing I've learned, from watching her:  You do not want to be on the wrong side of an argument from Megyn Kelly.  Seems that she learned her lessions at law school--Albany Law, maybe a mile and a half from where I sit now--very well.

South Carolina tourism office is getting tons of calls and e-mails from DUmmies stating that they will never visit the SC beaches and mountains again.

Now ya'll feel free to come on down and visit with us. South Carolina is beginning to look and feel better already. "Smiling faces and beautiful places" is becoming truer everyday that more DUmmies stay away.

Ya know, we bailed on going to Myrtle Beach this year, with my in-laws, because of money concerns (and the fact that The Heiress would have made the trip Hell).  We'll hafta go next year, because of Joe Wilson.

I liked it when she showed him the videos of the Dimocrats calling Bush a liar on the house floor and asked where was his outrage then. :lmao:

Of course it was unprecedented.  It was the first time a Republican congressman was rude to Democrat president.  Vice-versa not so unprecedented.

JohnnyReb, I'll take you up on that!  Imagine, a DUmmie-free oasis, with the beaches containing none of the whales we see at the DUmpster photo threads.  And you all know what they say about conservative women.

I wish I'd seen the Meghan clip.  She is so good.

Rush said today that if the house goes through with this, it will precipitate the biggest fundraiser for Wilson, ever.

I could easily see that happening.
