Title: Red sky Monday
Post by: Chris_ on September 14, 2009, 06:57:26 AM
Red sky in the morning, sailors take warning.  Forecast is for rain most of the week.  I'll be in Floriduh for 3 days on bidness, but I wil try to stay out of the newspapers.   :innocent: :uhsure:

Lots of sunshine and blue skies here in West by God Virginia today.  Not working today (at least no paid work...just mom work!), but have a busy afternoon...eye Dr appt for my middle kid right after school, and then he also has a game this evening, so I hope the Dr is running on time!

Other than that, just more laundry and general household chores today.

Same as Flame: Household chores and other assorted tasks.

Cleaned the carpets on Saturday so today I'll be getting the house in order and working on some other big chores. Might start working on painting a couple pieces of furniture I've been wanting to 'transform'.  :-)

Going to start pulling out the fall decorations that will stay up through Thanksgiving and also get the Halloween ones raring to go.
Decided to take off from classes this semester and just enjoy the holiday season for a change. Devote more time to job searching too and some other changes that look like they might be coming down the pike. *sigh*

Well, off to get some laundry going and then to workout for a bit. See ya peeps.

Yeah, we are starting to feel it here too. Usually in the high 50's in the morning, but we've had a couple of high 40's pop up here and there. Been a mild summer so its a little saddening to start into the cooler temps, but at the same time, I really love this stretch of the year from late September to early January so I'm also excited for what the next 3 months brings. It's that dead of winter from Jan to about mid March that I really detest.  :p I've decided this year to make the most of it though and spend more time doing crafting that I usually don't have time for and I'm also going to take a full course load(if i'm not working by then) so I stay occupied during that time and distracted from the yuckiness outside.

Same here.  Leaves are starting to turn on some of the trees here already.  Another couple of weeks and the season will be in full swing.

Yet strangely enough, my raspberry bushes are going nuts right now.  I'll be pulling berries off them for at least another couple of weeks.

I have three more days off of work on Dr.'s orders, so I get to get some rest today.  I'm hoping to find the energy to tidy up the mess that was created when I was so sick I didn't feel like moving.

We had a  nice little rain shower last night, so I'm hoping fall is on the way :-)

I am feeling better, but not 100%. I still have very low energy and a nasty cough.  My fever is gone though.

If the fever is gone, they say it's okay to be around people again.

The Doctor said he wanted me home for a full week, and my company is really concerned about the swine flu, so I don't think they'll let me through the doors till Thursday.  Besides, my cough still sounds bad and they'll get paranoid about getting sick if I go in with it.  I'm just hoping I don't get sick again this year, I don't think I'll have any sick time left.

The CDC recommends that you stay home for at least 24 hrs after you have no fever without taking any meds like aspirin, etc.

I guess I'll never go to work again, I take Ibuprofen almost daily.  :-)

*sigh*

I traded another day off for more overtime.  I'm getting tired of being there, but we seem to be understaffed for some reason.  Maybe its because we employ a hypochondriac with the Golden Ticket (ADA coverage) who always has a convenient excuse for not being at her desk during the day.  I was going to start prepping my car for a new coat of paint and filling in a few rusty spots on the body, but I guess that will have to wait another week.  Guess I'll have to settle for beer and TV tonight.
