Surrounded by middle-aged white guys â€” a sepia snapshot of the days when such pols ran Washington like their own menâ€™s club â€” Joe Wilson yelled â€œYou lie!â€ at a president who didnâ€™t.

But, fair or not, what I heard was an unspoken word in the air: You lie, boy!

The outburst was unexpected from a milquetoast Republican backbencher from South Carolina who had attracted little media attention. Now it has made him an overnight right-wing hero, inspiring â€œYou lie!â€ bumper stickers and T-shirts.

Sorry MoDo, but 0Bama did lie, and the DimRats proved it by having to insert language to require proof of citizenship to sign up for for the government plan. As for the "boy" part, liberals are playing the race card so often, that it must be the only card in their hand. They can't rely on truth or facts anymore.

If so, one has to wonder what would be a "palate cleanser" for Helen Thomas? I don't know if there one woman in the world who is as beautiful as she is fugly. As my friends and I used to joke in regards to Sandra Bernhard, Helen Thomas didn't get beaten by the "ugly stick" -- she IS the "ugly stick."
