Title: Can Someone Explain This To Me?
Post by: TheSarge on February 28, 2008, 06:41:39 AM
When was it determined that Roger Clemens is a Conservative or a Republican?

I was listening to ESPN Radio on the way in this morning and ther legal "expert" right off the bat started babbling about how this is "not a red state versus blue state thing anymore" with Rep. Tom Davis (R-VA) signing the letter to the Justice Department asking them to examine Clemens testimony last month.

WTF does politics have to do with investigating whether some pampered over the hill athlete used illegal means to prolong his career and then lie about it?

I've never heard anything about the politics of Roger Clemens nor do I care.

Is it because he's form Texas and the DBM automatically assumes he's a Republican?

I just think it's really stupid to try and make something dealing with sports into political hay.

First off, you're listening to East Coast Sports Propaganda Network?  That's your first mistake.

Second, look at the political bent of many of the more prominent folks there.  Stuart Scott, Keith Olberman, need I really go on?

I try to ignore the folks on there that irritate me...Stephen A and Cowherd

Haven't seen Stuart on there in forever on Sports Center.

Guess I need to find Fox Sports on Sirius and go back to listening to JT The Brick...either that or Jim Rome needs to get on the satellite.

I think if the Congress is looking into this, and it does fall under their purview to do so, then it pretty much becomes a political issue.

It's wrong for them to view it as such, and wrong for them to present it to the public as such, but our Congress critters are by and large ... idiots.
