A Delray Beach man was arrested early Wednesday after he twice called 911 to ask for a ride, telling a police officer he was hungry, Delray Beach police said.

Benjamin Dewer, 26, was charged with making a false 911 call.

According to a police report, Dewer called police from the 1000 block of South Ocean Boulevard and told the officer, "I need a ride to the park and I am hungry." ...

You'd think he'd understand that the police have enough on their plate without dealing with this nonsense.
