Title: Getaway Friday

Well, for some people, but not me.  Picked up the dog from the groomer last night.  Looks and smells 1000 percent better.  Played poker.  Won.  Not much, but a win is a win.

Working today, and no, not a hope in hell of getting off early, so I get to fight 100,000 Massholes going up the Spaulding, which means I'm taking the back roads home through Berwick, ME.  Also working tonight, dealing (poker).

Many beers and meat-bearing creatures will be sacrificed this weekend.  Already have the chicken defrosting for beer can chicken tomorrow, and burgers Sunday/Monday.

Any wild plans for ya'll out there?

The usual 5.5 hours of yardwork.  :whatever: 

Augmented by digging a 2.5 foot hole in preparation for a 20 foot flagpole. My house has been naked, i.e., flagless, for far too long.

A solar-powered light will take care of the illumination chores at night.

Gotta go to the nursery and pick up some gravel and sand for the bottom of the hole. I have enough concrete for the task at hand.

Working in a first grade class this afternoon...fun times.  But after that, nothing.  Football game tomorrow at 1:30, but no baseball all weekend.

I have a four day weekend starting today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really deserve it too. :-)

But, I have to get the oil changed, new wipers, wash the darn thing and run some other errands. Oy!!!

I sort of have a four-day weekend.  Hey, a day off is a day off.  The weather has been nice and cool so maybe I'll work on one of my cars and do some cooking.

I haz a date.















...with a chainsaw all weekend.  Dead trees to cut down, and need to cut some cedar beams so I can finish the barn this fall.

I also have yardwork to do tomorrow.  I also do oil changes--way cheaper than Jiffy Lube.

Kids are going to grandparents' tonight. Mrs. Tantal and I are getting out of the house. Going to see No Justice at Billy Bob's. I may try to get Mrs. Tantal liquored-up. :naughty:
