HFB, if things shake out in the next election like I'm pretty sure they will, the House will flip and the Senate will have the fillibuster in play again--at the very least.
An indicator will be the elections for the governor's seats in New Jersey and Virginia in two months and a day.

Yeah, it is looking rather bleak for the democrats. However, they'll most likely try to sneak it in some other way next year or just ram it through in a few weeks.

Actually we have been down this road before. Last time it was on Sunday Barry said the public option wasn't that important by Tuesday it was back to being the backbone of the bill and shame on the right wing terrorists for pointing out his own words.

And he will continue playing both sides until the bill is finalized and passed, and then he'll argue that he had not control over the bill, it was all congress, and congress's decisions are the will of the people so he couldn't interfere.
