a co-worker who spouts his opinions freely without knowledge today was blaming obama for a program they are talking about where they will give $200/kid to everyone with school age kids for school supplies. there would be no documentation needed for this program.
upon closer inspection, and actually reading about what is going on, they are talking about using stimulus dollars for it in ny only and for only those currently on public assistance.

Even if it is only in NY your friend is right to be outraged over this. More govt handouts.
I bet you though Obama is thinking of taking that national too.

Within the last 2 months, I read about this. Within several days of the money being handed out, there was a spike in local sales of video games, and other electronics.
