North Country=hour (or less) north of me. We're looking at low 40's tonight, mid 30's in north country. So much for summer.

We'll be in the low to mid 70s for the next 4 or 5 days here in WV. Good football weather, anyway!
-
I heard on a farm report on the radio that some major areas in Canada are also in danger of big crop losses due to early frost.

Apparently, you didn't get the memo. It's now 'climate change'. That way they get your money regardless of which way the thermometer's going.

Most of the time climate change takes thousands of years to evolve.
Lately weather changes are coming to us like a freight train.
Could it be --gasp-- that the scientists have been wrong for the last 300 years .?
All these super experts may have everything assbackwards.
Could it be that world wide, climate taking into consideration of human activity can change everything in 10 years and not the thousands we think it takes.
We can not controll mother earth, all we can do is adapt to her new rules and changes.
We cannot fight this system or change it in any way. It is up to us to change to what ever comes up.
We are slaves to Mother Earth, what ever she decides to do we must adapt to and survive the times.
-
What climate change? We are just having an unseasonably cool summer, which will be followed by lots of snow this winter.
We live in NE Vesta, or have you forgotten what that means?
I am loving this weather by the way -- Fall weather could last all year round and I would be a very happy person.

Not really, data developed from ice cores, pollen deposits, and other sources really indicate that the past 10,000 years have been quite exceptional for their stability, through most of geologic time stable climate as we know it has not been the norm at all.

Actually, it is global warming. Rove picked up an old globe he had lying around (the one where he threw darts at and wherever the dart hit, a UFO would land and spook the locals) and held it over a candle. As the globe got hotter, it drew away the heat from the actual earth, thus cooling it off.
So that's how global warming can cause global cooling.

Getting sick of running the AC all the time. Give us the cold temperature. I want winter.

Lousy summer for me, only time I have been able to leave my home is for doctors visits since May 1st.
Some days I can sit on the deck for 30 minutes or so but rest of the time I sleep for hours at a time.
I feel so fortunate that I have not yet or may not get the pain others with my problem have.
I tell yah it is the side affects of the drugs that get me, constsant nasier, cant eat but a spoonfull at a time, dry heaves, sometimes I think I would be better off without the medicine and no side affects.
People keep telling me to go hollisit medicine but last thing I need is to pull 5 years for smoking cat nip.

I visit a lot of farm sites. I see the farmers chatting about how their crops are late developing because of the cool summer tempertures.....and one ND farmer says he may have lost his soybean crop (large acreage) due to an early forst Saturday night. A lot of midwest farmers are discussing what stage of development their corn is in and worrying about an early frost.
For the first time in my life, I think I'll buy up a stock of rice, dried beans, salt and stuff that don't need electricity to keep.....I can kill the rest.
