Actually, what we have here is a defensive bouncy. This blatantly obvious thought occurred to DUmmy scheming daemons, but to him it seemed like an epiphany. He knew he would be tombstoned for even having the thought inside his pea brain, but he desperately wanted to share it with the DUmp, so he made up this lame story. It's closely related to bouncies by those people who accidentally hear something Rush said.
