No, no, no this can't be happening!
What a great legacy we have just lost...I am literally crying now. I cannot believe it, even after being prepared, my heart is crushed.
Good bye to one of the greatest Senators to ever walk the halls. :(

The Ted Kennedy Act, as long as this has the PO in strong form
call your critters and ask for that. One way to honor Teddy, the Lion of the Senate.

6. Get ready for all the pontificating and hand wringing and crocodile tears.
You know all those repukes and Blue Dogs will be falling all over themselves to get to a mic to talk about what a wonderful person he was and how much they'll miss him. Hypocrites, every last one of them. :nuke:

Nice to see their eagerness to ride his corpse down to the Pony Mart for their Free Stuff.

I know I have not been around much for some time but I have to say, I was a bit appalled by the vengeful and hateful reaction by some of the folks here to the news. Then I read the reaction at the DUmp and in typical fashion it's orders of magnitude worse. Still. Not exactly proud of our side at the moment....
... or myself...

RIP Ted. Say what you will, he was a worthy foe.

The Senator Edward M. Kennedy Memorial Act
Isn't that what Limbaugh already calls it?

My Momma said that if I couldn't say anything nice not to say it at all.
My prayers go out to his family.

First, my condolences to the DUmmies for their loss of a liberal icon. I didn't like the man; however, unlike them I'm not much for grave dancing. I'm sure they know what I'm talking about. If not, I'm talking about the grave dancing that the sick lunatics do every time a conservative dies.
I do have a question for them. Based on reports, the senator lived longer than predicted due to the medical care that he received. If the Obama health care plan was in effect when the senator was diagnosed and he was forced to be treated as an ordinary citizen under that plan, how long would he have lived? Would the care he received have been the same?

Move over Saddam, Lucifer has a new BFF to share his bed.
Robert Byrd, the couch is a fold-out, the porch light is on for you
-
I am not going to celebrate Ted Kennedys death but his life does illustrate the complete phoniness of liberalism.
Here is a person now being deified at the DUmp whose real life was every last thing they claim they hate and fight against.
He came from a family of old money that was accrued by questionable means.
They parlayed that wealth into political power to the point of being regarded as "royalty" in a sense.
He spent a lifetime treating women as chattel without an ounce of respect for them or literally their lives.
In short he voted and talked one way and lived the opposite but in the tiny minds of the primitives they believe that talk meant he cared for them so they looked the other way on all his hypocrisy.
Sad lives of contradiction they live but they choose to and suspect that is part of what keeps them in a frothing outrage all the time.

They should know better than to think the care would be the same, but will never, ever admit to such. How many under Obamacare would be treated to the services of a world class neurosurgeon practicing in another state who was pulled away from a planned Canadian vacation to do a surgery on someone he'd never met? I'd venture to guess the answer to be 'none'.
My condolences to the family.
My scorn to the DUmmies who are too stupid and hypocritical to see past the ends of their own nose.
-
I put him in the same class as Bill Clinton...he worried most about his Leg-I-see.

Edward Kennedy was not special in any way. He was not "great". I don't even consider him American.
His shame-filled life has concluded. Big deal. It happens to all of us.
Washington politics is now one-half-of-one-degree cleaner than it was. That's the important thing.

6. Uncle Teddy would never want someone to be violent to defend his memory
In fact I think he would be the first person to sit you down and give you all the reasons why violence is not the answer.
Uncle Teddy? Are these guys series? :mental:

Would that be the "Drunken Fetal-Position Technique"?

I hope Mary Jo Kopechne is there to greet him.

Ok, it could be one of two things that connects it for the dummy: Funny uncle or Uncle Joe ( Stalin )
How 'bout that?
-
Well now, I want to move on.
Who's going to be the replacement?

That is a lot of genuflecting to someone, whom in life, wouldn't have pissed on them if they were on fire.

I like disfunctional better. :lmao:
Who replaces Fat Teddy ? I am laying my bet on the little woman, Miss Vickie (iirc) just to warm the seat for now.

Yeah he would have gone home slept it off then called the police.

First things first: RIP, Mary Jo.

270. at 1 am Central, in front of my house a huge burst of light and a loud pop -then all went dark
It was just for a minute
That, nadine, was the sound of the gates of hell slamming shut.
I can only wish that he took that crappy NCLB with him.

And soon we will all hear the fat sizzling in the lake of fire as he begins his second eternal career of mining hell for ice forever.

Being a DUmbass is a lot like having "Battered Wife Syndrome", in that respect.
-
My only regret in Ted Kennedy's death is that it wasn't televised by Fox News.
It would have had more entertainment value than Saddam's hanging.
My DVR would have been humming.
Hopefully a nurse or housekeeper had a good cell phone and needed a million bucks from The Enquirer.
I hope we have DUmmies lurking.
-
We should afford Kennedy and the libTURDS the same respect they afforded to Ronald Reagan when he passed.
So here it goes...

Perhaps the bill should be named after Mary Jo because if it passes we'll all drown.

The libTURDS aren't wasting a second....
Time for the Teddy Kennedy Memorial Health Care Reform Bill (http://www.balloon-juice.com/?p=25975)
From the above linked article...
...it’s time to come back after Labor Day with a single coherent Senator Edward M. Kennedy Health Care Reform Bill, and to twist whatever arms, ears, or other parts are necessary to get a good strong comprehensive bill passed and signed, NOW. We owe the memory of a great man no less.
:bsmeter:
-
Only if you agree to pass the Robert "Sheets" Byrd Hate Crimes Legislation Bill when he kicks in about 28 minutes.

The death of Sheets, whose name is on nearly every federal building, road, bridge, hospital, clinic, and school in West Virginia, may be a lot
more significant than that of the killer whale. The Peoples Republic of Massachusetts will surely send another commu-socialist to the senate.
West Virginia may increase the blue dog population.

The Senator Edward M. Kennedy Memorial Act
Ironic, considering that Kennedy would've never let his health care be directed by such legislation.
Obama would've told Kennedy to "take a pain pill."
