Oy vey. I managed to get the cylinder head un-attached from the Vovlo and the exhaust pipe held up on a jack, but I'm not having any luck removing the intake manifold. So I have to come home and ask Google why the damn thing won't budge. I should move the car closer to home... it takes me an hour and a half to drive up there and back if I want to work on it. :(
Oh, and I bought a new toolbox. Yay.
Protein, starch, and carbohydrates for dinner. Whatcha havin'?
-
Goodness, all that talk about vovlos is turning me on! :evillaugh:
-
Oh I had turkey tacos. :-)

Now tacos on the other hand. :evillaugh:

A Volvo (especially the 244) is probably the un-sexiest car on the road. The inside is even cheesier than the outside. :lmao:
I'd like to drop in a V8 when I'm done with my 280ZX. I think I could do it.
-
Mmmmmmm Taco. I loves eatin' me some Taco.
:naughty:

Actually he said vovlos which I believe to be a subliminal code word for "it".
m-m-m-m-m... tacos!

Seriously, can they get any bigger? At least it distracts from the bulge that was apparently in my pants. How did that get there? What the feck? :lmao:

Who, Schadie or the pic I posted.? :evillaugh:
They're saying that even if "she" fails the gender test, they won't strip her medals. Good, I do NOT want to see her stripped.
Now, back on topic. I think Schadie is overheating the servers, this board is loading slow. :naughty:

I don't roll on Shabbos.

My weekend was full of yard work. And car stuff, but unlike Chris who really has an affinity for that kinda stuff, my "car stuff" involved picking up my wife's car (a 2000 Honda Accord) from the guy who put on new brakes, fixed the wiper linkage, and some other odds & ends.
I quit working on cars when I traded in my 1973 Nova for my 1978 Nova. (The 1978 Nova rusted out before I got a chance to work on it!)
:-)
Now yard work is my nemesis. I hate doing that stuff. Oddly enough, though, I found myself falling asleep while riding the zero turn mower around. I had to go back because I overshot a couple spots. :rotf:
-

:lmao:
OH! I passed a small car dealership in Hendersonville (exit 3) that had a BAD-ASS collection of cars for sale... Stingray Corvettes, Nova SS, Camaro SS/396, a 427 Cobra roadster. The cheapest car was the $7,000 Ford Fairlaine 500 -- it was the only thing in my price range. I never noticed how small those '63-'67 Corvettes are... these were about the size of your wife's Accord.
The dealership a few blocks down had a Ferrari for sale.

The day after Shabbos? We'll wait for ya.

I always enjoyed the SS Camaro - that is, before they went Hollywood.
The only thing badder than a big-block 396 is an Olds 455 with all the goodies on it - hot cam, Holley double-pumper, headers, and an ass end that can handle all that. :o
-
They had some Hurst models -- I don't recall what they were. Man, these were some pretty cars. Makes me want to get my Datsun finished so I can start on something else. I've had my eye on a '64-'65 Skylark... what a pretty car.
This is an interesting magazine/blog. Japan did have some sporty-looking imports during the 70's. I think the one at the top of the page is a Mazda RX-3 ---> http://japanesenostalgiccar.com/

Watching the Meacham Auto Auctions on occasion, I'm struck by how much more money cars command that are completely stock. You'd think that standard brakes and crappy handling really set the stage for good driving.
Along with the SS Camaro, I've always been partial to the early GTO ('66 and '67):

My husband traded his goat for my engagement ring. He still rues the day.... :lmao:

They had at least one GTO. I guess I've just gotten over-done on some of the more popular cars... Camaro, GTO, Nova. I like having something a little different. I've seen a total of four Datsuns on the road since I bought mine. It's not the quickest car on the road and it's the Malaise-era 80's ZX model, but you don't see them everyday. That's the part I like.
I still want an MG B, but I'll have to take up welding as a hobby before I can make that step.
-

I guarantee you the car is worth more than the ring today. :innocent:
Barret-Jackson has some insane auctions.

I know the feeling. I traded my Browning Hi-Power in 9 mm for wedding bands.
I since made up for it with purchase of a .45 and a .38 snubbie. (The .38 snubbie is hers - all hers.) :rotf:

I still have it in my mind that you're a high maintenance babe. Maybe not on the swingset, but I'm betting you pony up some serious $$ for your hairdos.
When was the last time you had a pedicure?

Do I really look high maintenance to you? :-)
I haven't had a pedicure in probably 2 summers. My daughter paints my toenails.

High maintenance, Eupher! :p

Okay, then. How many bottles of finger/toenail polish do you have on your dressing room table?
In all honesty, yes. :shucks:
How 'bout those hairdos? Does your hairdresser really know for sure?

We used to figure skate together, spent many days in that cold cold ice arena doing whatever we could to keep each other warm.

Okay, instead of 20w-40, you guys went for the straight 30 weight.
"High maintenance" doesn't mean dressing in slinky dresses and boots all the time. Sometimes it means borrowing a too-loose belt! :-)

I need someone who knows me in real life to vouch for me. I am seriously the anti-princess. I do like fingernail polish though, as do my two girls. We have quite a few bottles between the 3 of us. :-)

I know, aren't I? Can you believe I have spent the whole night tearing up the lounge? Good Times! :evillaugh:

I've got $20 in free play to use before midnight at the Casino next door......the weekend before my Vegas trip I had a little winning streak...I won $890 in about 3 hours over a two day period....It gave me plenty of spending money for my mini-trip & she paid for the resort & hotels.....girls like me. :naughty:
I had not seen the girl for over 18 years...or longer......found her on facebook and she flew down for a visit.

You went to Death Valley? In August? Ouch.
It ended up being a "fee free" weekend....there was people everywhere. Alot of European women not wearing many clothes. :p
It had cooled off that weekend, and was only about 100 with a nice breeze.
Just a week or two earlier, a six year old kid died in the Valley... http://www.ksrw.sierrawave.net/eastern-sierra-news/2386-six-year-old-boy-dies-in-death-valley-heat Sad story. :bawl: If his mom was not so stupid, he would still be alive. Pisses me off.

My husband traded his goat for my engagement ring. He still rues the day.... :lmao:
A good friend of mine had a bee-you-ty-ful black '57 Thunderbird when he got married. His wife finally talked him into trading it for a new 63&1/2 fastback Ford family car. The wife is long gone but he still misses the '57 Thunderbird greatly.

I would too! In all seriousness, that was my husband's deal to trade in the GTO. I had nuttin to do with it.
