Lockerbie Bomber Freed From Prison on Compassionate Grounds
Thursday, August 20, 2009

March 14, 2002: Abdel Basset Ali al-Megrahi listens to his appeal verdict.
EDINBURGH, Scotland —  Scotland freed the terminally ill Lockerbie bomber on compassionate grounds Thursday, allowing him to die at home in Libya despite American protests that mercy should not be shown to the man responsible for the deaths of 270 people.

WTF??????????????

What the flying F***?????? Compassionate grounds? I'm sure those people falling and being crushed to death could feel his compassion for them! I'm sure the dying stewardess on the ground would have loved to been surrounded by her friends and family at her death instead of strangers who happened upon her gasping her last breath out of likely deflated lungs and in excruciating pain from taking a fall from 10's of thousands of feet.  People are mad! Just mad....everyone everywhere needs to scrap what's in office now and put people with real backbone in. This is preposterous!

Compassion for the likes of him should be a bullet to the back of the head.

I came very close (within one day) of taking that flight. I shudder when I think about it now.

Britain has been run by Islamaddicts and apologists for some time now. London's mayor Ken Livingstone, for example, is a left-wing moonbat liberal who falls all over himself apologizing for Muslims.

YIKES! That is creepy! Those leftists are just as dangerous as Jihadists. Both of them need to be eradicated brutally and swiftly like in Chile and South Korea.

Matt 6:14-15 For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.  But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive
your sins.

Matt 18:21-22   Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?"  Jesus answered, "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.

LUK 6:35  But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.

Romans 12:19-21  Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord.  On the contrary: "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head."  Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

I still wouldn't be able to let him go.

Thankfully America's legal system does not literally go by the Bible.

So DUmmies run Britain now?
This is Scotland, it has it's own parliament and is currently governed by the Scottish Nationalist Party. This wasn't a decision for the British Parliament in Westminster.

Here is the First Minister Alex Salmond with one of his pals.

That may be part of the reason he was voted out last year and we now have a Conservative mayor, Boris Johnson.

I saw a woman interviewed on Fox this morning, who is the mother of one of the American students (girl) who was killed on that flight.

My heart hurt for her....there are just no words.....except my Scot bloodline - Campbell - is shamed.

Well, I guess I'm a day late and a Euro/pound/dollar short. For some reason, I thought he was reelected shortly before the Olympics last year. I remember him at the Beijing Olympics strolling out for a ceremony with his Dumbass suitcoat flopping in the breeze.

This smells like a prisoner swap to me.  Maybe the Brits had an Agent caught in Libya or somewhere else, and there was a 2 or 3 party deal?

I'm not surprised by this....   :banghead:

The release of Lockerbie bomber Abdel Baset al Megrahi was linked to trade deals with Britain, the son of Libyan leader Colonel Gaddafi has said.

Speaking on Libyan television, Seif al Islam claimed Britain's then prime minister, Tony Blair, raised Megrahi's case each time he visited Libya.

"In all commercial contracts, for oil and gas with Britain, (Megrahi) was always on the negotiating table," Islam told channel Al Mutawassit.

He also branded the 57-year-old's liberation a "victory" for all Libyans.

But a spokesperson for the Foreign Office has insisted: "There is no deal.

"All decisions relating to Megrahi's case have been made exclusively by the Scottish Ministers, The Crown office in Scotland, and the Scottish Judicial Authorities.

"No deal has been made between the UK Government and Libya in relation to Megrahi and any commercial interests in the country."

Coming soon, "The Islamic Republic of Great Britian". Did France and GB trade leaders? Seems like it.
