BURLINGTON, Vt. -- A prosecutor said Vermont state Sen. Edward Flanagan is the target of a police investigation into allegations of inappropriate sexual conduct at the Burlington YMCA.

Chittenden County State's Attorney Thomas Donovan said the allegation that Flanagan was seen masturbating in a men's fitness area at the Y has been referred to a police sex-crimes unit.

Flanagan, a former four-term state auditor and Democratic U.S. Senate nominee in 2000, suffered brain and other injuries in a 2005 car crash....According to Totten's account, the incident is not the first time YMCA members have complained about Flanagan's behavior. Sources inside the YMCA told Totten of several instances that concerned them, including one incident where Flanagan allegedly was running on a YMCA treadmill wearing only shoes, socks and a watch....

I can see that a brain injury can alter a person's behaviour, but how come he still got elected?

Because most of the residents of Vermont are also brain-injured.  VT used to be nearly as conservative as NH back in the day, but the flatlanders came in, took over, and viola!  Moonbat central!  Don't believe me, try walking through downtown Brattleboro sometime.

NH and Frank. I see what you say about Vermont, now you say it I do seem to recall that it is legal to wander around nekkid in parts of Battleboro.
