Robert Novak died. . .DU PLEASE STAY CLASSY!
Robert Novak, Chicago Sun-Times Columnist, "Prince of Darkness" died Tuesday.
WASHINGTON--Chicago Sun-Times columnist Robert Novak, one of the nation's most influential journalists, who relished his "Prince of Darkness" public persona, died at home here early Tuesday morning after a battle with brain cancer.
"He was someone who loved being a journalist, love journalism and loved his country and loved his family, Novak's wife, Geraldine, told the Sun-Times on Tuesday.
Novak's remarkable and long-running career made him a powerful presence in newspaper columns, newsletters, books and on television.
On May 15, 1963, Novak teamed up with the late Rowland Evans Jr. to create the "Inside Report" political column, which became the must-read syndicated column. Evans tapped Novak, then a 31-year old correspondent for the Wall Street Journal, to help with the workload of a six-day-a-week column.

13. Im so dissapointed at DU right now and the lack of class
He may of been a ****ing piece of shit, Iraq war selling, demon spawn, cock-sucking mother ****er, but, well, he was our (Americas) mother ****er. We need to show respect for his ****ed up career of selling right-wing legislation and defaming liberals.

15. sorry, using the word classy in a sentence ain't.
When are the apologists going to realize that turning the other cheek only works when it's their own cheek? That's the ONLY thing you are responsible for.
Death doesn't pardon the damage.

26. why are we always admonished to protect the feelings of family...
....of despicable people who have worked to destroy democracy?
Family members have profited from that labor, haven't they? They knew what was happening, didn't they?
Are we expected to hush up about Dick Cheney's life when he goes in order to protect his wife and daughters? Well? Well?
It's a silly expectation. And it's wrong. And it perpetuates attacks on the democratic process and the American people.
Hmmmm. Reminds one of the Kennedys.

And we are the ones consumed by hate :whatever:

Remember in DUmmy language hate is not an emotion it is a description of anything they disagree with.
The same convoluted "logic" that defines racisim to them.
-
Told you to wait. The DUmmies are pack animals. All it takes is for one to start screaming and all the other little community organizer-wannabes fall in line.
-
God how they hate free speech. :loser:

Speaking of classy, two of the classiest DUmmies seem to have swirled down the memory hole.
The DUmp isn't the same without classy input from DUmmy UGP and DUmmy greenbriar.
I hope it's something serious.

Did they get the stone or are they just not posting due to various ailments (possibly including stupidity)?

I dunno; the subway cat's been out for a while, although she posts primitive bonfires in her "journal."
Either the subway cat's on one of her visits to that big building with small rooms with soft walls, or she's having problems with that new boarder.
-
Uh oh.
I went over to Skins island to see if I could find the subway cat.
I did, at a bonfire about a recently-deceased intellectual.

13. I thought he was already dead..
Long ago.Because he drank the kool aid and died like anyone who touches that wing-nut brew .Got re-animated singing the praises of voodoo economics a right-wing zombie fueled by insecure yet inflated ego and with technicians applying alot of make up, used hot air under pressure as make him almost appear alive on TV.The reality is he smells like old fart, rotten egg,and fermented cabbage-on a good day.
Good riddance to bad demagogues!

They couldn't stand Novac because he exposed their heroes for what they were; total useless, lying politicians, only looking out for number one and playing CYA in order to keep getting elected to the public trough! If any of them had to get a real job, they'd be on foodstamps like most of their lazy constituents.
edited to add: The only time I ever had to apply for food stamps was during the Carter years. That ****er put everyone out of work!
-
Evil? Novak was evil? On the scale of things, he'd be the Scott Evil of the conservative world. Though I guess anyone to the right of Stalin raises their ire. :mental:
