PORTSMOUTH — A North Hampton teen charged with assaulting someone with a piece of chicken was ordered to obtain an anger management evaluation and remain of good behavior for one year as part of a deal that will dismiss the charge if she complies.

Alecia Coleman, 19, of 22 Maple Road, appeared in Portsmouth District Court Monday on a class A misdemeanor count of simple assault alleging she smeared a piece of chicken in the face of someone with whom she was arguing. As part of a plea agreement with police prosecutors, Coleman agreed to get the evaluation, to comply with any recommended treatment and to remain arrest-free for one year. If she complies, the misdemeanor will be dismissed,

So can one really get the police involved when someone taps your lips to food ??

Darn, I could have had an ex-locked up for buying me an icecream cone and sniffing it.  He would then ask me if I smelled anything different  When I went to take a sniff he pushed the cone into my nose and laughed like a loon.

C'mon, people...it's Elizabeth Dinan...she's been trying to get in good with the National Enquirer for years now by pretending to be an "edgy" reporter.

Course, given the Portsmouth Herald's recent history and rapidly dwindling circulation, she may be their ONLY reporter at this point.

Far as I can see she is very good at what she does.

It's a poultry charge and she'll probably only get a light roasting over it.

The prosecution doesn't have a leg to stand on.
