7. The problem with the Constitution
The problem with the Constitution is that is gives people to many rights. What were the founding fathers thinking when they thought it was ok to for everyone to own guns? Only authorized law enforcement and military people should have guns.

3. May I add "wingnuts with a sense of entitlement". nt
A sense of entitlement as guaranteed by the Constitution? Yes.
A sense of entitlement as guaranteed by the New Deal and Great Society? No.

They wrote it that way so everyone could be EQUAL under the law and have the same rights. They also added the 2nd Amendment so that the other 9 rights in there would be protected and safe from idiots like those that live at the DUmp.

Why do the cops need guns? If we outlaw guns, what do they have to worry about? They have night sticks, right? :whatever:

Unless that post is sarcastic, which I doubt it, it is very telling about how DUmmies think. They want to pick and choose what rights we should have. They truly do support a Big-Brother type of government. :censored:
And by getting rid of guns, they won't feel threatened by the idea of losing that nanny-state government. :whatever:

8. There is no such thing as too many rights. They lived in a much different world back then..
Edited on Mon Feb-25-08 10:43 AM by ReformedChris
Freedom was a new idea that had to be defended at the time. Part of that defense involved carrying firearms to defend yourself from fellow man, nature, and potential invaders. It is also true that Sub Machine Guns with Laser Targeting did not exist back then and effectively legislating certain types of firearms is the way to go.

24. "Let Us Have Our Guns, SO We Can Feel Safe!"
"And if it scares others around us, well then, buy yur own too so everyone will have one. It'll make America safer.... after all, we know how well Americans do with guns."
:sarcasm:
Nice catch 22 isn't gun manufacturers? How do you promote a product such as a gun? Tell everyone they should have one, and those who want regulations should be called anti-constitutional and basic "gun grabbers".
How transparent.

If they are even OLD enough to vote...that post by Pappy screams "teenager," but then again, even the legal-age DUmmies do not act their age. :mental:

How long will it take after Hillary is elected until we have a new assault weapons ban?

That will be among the first things she does. And her definition of "assault weapon" will be pretty much anything that fires bullets.
