Oh my, a rarity.
A primitive being positive.
The primitive once known as the droopy drawers primitive, the "droopy" primitive:

I've lost 91 pounds (pics)
Here I am last Christmas at 289. I'm the big guy in the bibs.

Here I am as of last week at 198. Pardon the disheveled look. I had just hiked 2 miles through the woods.

I'm going to lose another 15 pounds or so and then start with maintenance
Well, damn, that's great, and franksolich means it.

1. That is so incredibly wonderful. Congratulations.
That is quite a loss over 7 months. How did you do it?
On edit: Reading some of your past posts. Fantastic!

4. Regarding my other post about weighing 198.4
That was in my birthday suit. I'm currently weighing in at 198.2 with my clothes on and I did have a week where I was set back a little, but I'm back on track now.
Gack. I hope this doesn't give the gigantic primitive any ideas about posting his new weight in his birthday suit. Or the subway cat.

3. How I did it
I went to a local weight loss place called MPS Weightloss www.mpsweightloss.com and signed up for their program. They say that you can have one of five different types of metabolisms. They determined mine and gave me a diet. They don't like to call it "diet" because to them it implies something temporary when they want you to think of your new way of eating as permanent. I call it a diet in the sense that this is what you eat and not so much as a temporary weight loss deal.
Anyway here's the basics of my program. Eat only whole grain bread, pasta, cereal, and rice. No white flour or sugar. That goes for all of the profiles. Here's where mine is different. I eat 5 small meals a day. I eat a lot of v*****s, some fruit, and lean meat. I try to stay away from the red meat and I haven't had any since March. I also have to limit my fat intake. I eat between 1200 and 1500 calories a day.
That's it in a nut shell. I'm confident that I will reach my goal. My next goal is to stay at my desired weight. It will be a life long mission.
Go to it, droopy drawers primitive.
With your positive attitude, I'm sure you'll be voting (R) soon, with the rest of we positive people.

Good for him.

Oh crap. Now I feel like at least one primitive does something usefulo better than me. I guess it was bound to happen since I tend to laziness and procrastination.
Congrats to whatshisface

Job well done!
He seems to be looking at it the right way as not a diet so much as a change in lifestyle.

I thought he looked better heavy. Manly, short haired, with overalls. Now he looks weak, with too much skin, and in severe need of a haircut.
Now, if he'd start throwing the irons and get a crew-cut, he just might make something of himself.

Looks like two different dudes! :o

Good for him and I agree there is a lot he can do now to just kind of reshape things and improve his appearance, but the weight loss part is over. In fact, it might serve him well to consider doing some strength training instead of weight loss anymore. That would probably pay off more and yes, grow back the facial hair and get a haircut.
I like when people ask 'how did you do it'. Most don't like the answer. :-)

Good for him :cheersmate:
I agree that his old hair cut looked better, but I sure he feels better now, and he is most likely much healthier. I wish him luck.

If that DUmmy hiked two miles through the woods, then I can flap my wings and fly.
DUmmies lie, all the time, in every case, and on every subject, they lie.
And I personally prefer their tales of woe and imminent entombment to their Jenny Craig bouncies.
On a human level, I don't wish them well in any way, and rejoice when they suffer.
They want to destroy our way of life.

You have to understand that this /------------------/, is 6" to a DUmmie!
