Six people, including P-D reporter, arrested at Carnahan meeting

UPDATE: St. Louis County police say six people were arrested. Two of those were arrested on suspicion of assault, one of resisting arrest and three on suspicion of committing peace disturbances. Carnahan was gone when the ruckus started.
Kenneth Gladney, a 38-year-old conservative activist from St. Louis, said he was attacked by some of those arrested as he handed out yellow flags with “Don't tread on me†printed on them. He spoke to the Post-Dispatch from the emergency room of the St. John's Mercy Medical Center, where he said he was waiting to be treated for injuries to his knee, back, elbow, shoulder and face that he suffered in the attack. Gladney, who is black, said one of his attackers, also a black man, used a racial slur against him before the attack started.

I see shades of Fascism. I notice that a Black conservative was the target. Black conservatives are called various racial slurs and are not "Black enough". Same goes with any non-White conservative, which I am one of them.

I'm surprised that Kit Bond isn't holding a TM, and equally surprised that Blaine Luetkemeyer. Both are Repubs, Senator and my Rep., respectively.
The liberal moonbat, slack-jawed, drooling, Lord Zero Worshiper Senator Claire McCaskill, however, is holding two TMs next Monday. Of course, they're held at 9 a.m. and at 2:30 p.m., where most real Americans are at work paying her :censored: salary.

This woman was actually trying to start fights with people in line, waiting to get into the auditorium at the Rep. Russ Carnahan townhall forum on aging.
While Carnahan gave a press conference today blaming tea party people for the “mob-like†activity, it was actually his own, admitted staffers who were the cause of the rabble-rousing:

Kenneth was approached by an SEIU representative as Kenneth was handing out “Don’t Tread on Me†flags to other conservatives. The SEIU representative demanded to know why a black man was handing out these flags. The SEIU member used a racial slur against Kenneth, then punched him in the face. Kenneth fell to the ground. Another SEIU member yelled racial epithets at Kenneth as he kicked him in the head and back. Kenneth was also brutally attacked by one other male SEIU member and an unidentified woman. The three men were clearly SEIU members, as they were wearing T-shirts with the SEIU logo.
We are calling on the SEIU, Representative Carnahan, and President Obama to condemn the racist actions of these union thugs. In the days to come, we will be investigating whether these thugs are working at the behest of Representative Carnahan and how strong their alliances to various organizations–such as ACORN–may be.

The original article is as vauge as it possibly could be. Six people? Given the tone of the reporting about the protests, I would think it was done deliberately. "Oh, it must have been those awful protestors." :whatever:

‘Telephone town hall’ will replace meeting
Instead of appearing in person, where "extremists" would have "the chance to shout and make YouTube videos," Baird said Wednesday, he's holding what he calls "telephone town halls" instead.
Baird said he's using the new system because he fears his political opponents may be planning "an ambush" to disrupt his meetings, using methods Baird compared to Nazism.
"What we're seeing right now is close to Brown Shirt tactics," Baird, D-Vancouver, said in a phone interview. "I mean that very seriously."
Here's how it'll work: if you happen to be sitting near a publicly listed Clark County telephone line on the right day at the right time, your phone will ring.
In order to avoid software problems, Baird's office says, the exact date and time will be kept secret from the public.
If you answer your landline, an automated message will ask whether you have a question for your Congressman.
Press *3, and you'll be asked your location and the subject of your question. Sitting at his own telephone at an as-yet-undisclosed location, Baird then will choose a name based on its location and the topic.

Blaine is holding his via conference call.......if you call one of his offices, they will add your number to the list......these are not prerecorded, and he will actually take questions, however, my recommendation is to press *3 as soon as you come on line, which indicates that you wish to ask a question.......otherwise, he might not get to you. They are all very straightforward, and generally some of the questions are entertaining.......We don't live in his district (we live in Sam Graves district) , but our farm is located there, so I called and asked, and they said they would be glad to include me........they are doing several of these per week.
Bond is a lost cause, since he is not running again, and since he just announced that he was voting FOR the messiah's new SCOTUS appointment, he figures that he might get tarred and feathered.......I'm very disappointed in Kit.....

MSNBC: Town Hall Protests Are Threat to Obama’s Life
At the top of the 4:00PM ET hour on MSNBC Friday, fill-in co-anchor Monica Novotny issued a dire warning about protests at health care town hall meetings: "The town hall confrontations are turning violent....Where is all of this heading? New fears for the safety of America’s first African-American president." [Audio available here]
In a later segment, co-anchor David Shuster interviewed Virginia Democratic Congressman Jim Moran and asked: "We know that threats to President Obama are up by like something 400% compared to the Bush administration. Is this putting our president in some sort of danger because of some wacko that will see this stuff and say, ‘oh, yes, it’s fascism and the way we dealt with Adolf Hitler was to try to kill him, so therefore, let’s do this with our president.’"
Congressman Moran responded to that outrageous scenario by remarking: "Well, you know, it only took – takes one person. It took one person to shoot Ronald Reagan, Jack Kennedy, and so on. But I think the Secret Service can be trusted to protect the President. But it does discredit those people who are using such extreme measures to achieve an objective which is really corporate profit."

This has been the nature of the reporting I've seen so far. People protesting the out-of-control spending and federal takeover of their healthcare are painted as unstable reactionaries, while violent thugs brought in to intimidate average people are played down as anonymous "people" in headlines.

One of my 3 best friends in the world, a 20-year retired US Army veteran, and his brother are black conservatives. They both live in Hampton, Va. and they go through the same bullshit. One good thing that I think will come out of this idiot's administration is I think more black people will wake the hell up and realize the liberals, read "progressive", only want them for one thing, their vote. Other than that, they can eat f'n cake. Look what Boxer did to Mr. Alford. She essentially told him to get his black ass back on the plantation. That's EXACTLY what she did. I never choose to talk politics when I am with family, I know better and I try to avoid it. But they can't seem to attend a get-together without ganging up on me and asking me about the latest anti-Bush/anti-Republican rant they heard on MSNBC. They try to make me answer for all the country's ills that they blame on Republicans. They just can't seem to comprehend or accept that I am a conservative and not a Republican. So when I say I don't enjoy Thanksgiving with the family that is why.
My guess is most if not all black conservatives experience the same.

Rep. David Scott (D-Ga.) launched a tirade at a town hall meeting about a highway project in his district on Friday, accusing audience members who asked about healthcare reform of being outsiders who "hijacked" his meeting.
"Those of you here who have taken, who have came, who hijacked this event that we're dealing with here," Scott said.
Scott's outburst came during the meeting's question and answer session in which constituents were allowed to ask questions on any topic. A local NBC affiliate in Atlanta captured video of the meeting.
The Georgia Democrat became increasingly enraged after some in the audience disputed his remarks.
At one point, Scott stood up and pointed to the audience, shouting "you want a meeting with me on healthcare? I'll give it to you!"
