Should we form up volunteer security teams for each district town hall?
Similar to how we handled abortion clinic defense, volunteers in each district with a democratic rep would go to each town hall meeting to protect the rep from assault and maintain order at the meeting.

I don't know about this. The last time we had a DUAC! DUAC! callup, it didn't go well. No one showed up.
I don't think the DUmmies will make a very good secret police force, unless these meetings are moved to someone's basement.

12. The problem with that is here in San Diego,
we have roughly 1800 police officers for about 1.5 million people. There may or (more likely) may not be any cops available.

If you live in a place where you can get the police to show up, and they are not right-wing thugs themselves, more power to ya!

DUmmy MindPilot knows all police are right-wing thugs. He's just trying to be a nice guy.

3. meh, maybe just a narrow doorway and requirement of participants to sign in
with proof of ID.... maybe not the 'long form', but a driver's license or library card  Let them know they are noted and we might be cross referencing with participant lists from other town halls

No one should be allowed in, or out, of a town hall meeting unless he can prove his mind is right. After all, that's the kind of town hall meetings the jug-eared Kenyan had throughout his campaign, and it worked for him.

4. Bad idea
 1) I haven't heard of any situation where the Rep has been in danger.

2) As a civilian, you don't have the authority to "maintain order" at a public meeting.

If he didn't have a long history of deranged posts, you'd swear DUmmy MercutioATC is a Lousy Freeper Troll.

7. There was mention by a congressman about another who was assaulted
It was on Keith this evening. The congressman (or woman) was not named.

And who says a civilian can't maintain order at a public meeting? Is it necessary to call the police to tell someone their time is up; let someone else talk?

Sometimes a presence is all that's necessary.

Keef, who, along with the carpetmuncher, is our only source of The Truth, again tells the DUmmies about this imaginary socialist.

13. great idea. and wear a brown shirt to distinguish yourself when you are "maintaining order"...
or better yet, let those in charge of maintaining order do their jobs.

I doubt DUmmy 1 is with us any longer.

So they want people to show their drivers license to get into a town hall meeting but not to vote. Oh the irony.

Oddly enough, he's still there.

Oh, and they should wear these buttons while they're there.

Bring it! Ya keyboard Kommandos! I'd like nothing better than to have a moonbat tell me and my bretheren to sit down and shut up! You'd find your head shoved up your ass in a heart tick!

Ya might want to come up with another threat for DUmbasses, sir.  That's - for many residents of the Island - where their head normally resides.  Too many of 'em would reply, "yeah, so?"

DUmmie 1 is gone.  I guess the "brown shirt" comment was too much like "calling a spade a spade". :evillaugh:

They need to set up Bolivarian Circles to control the population even more. The Bureau of Ideological Purity Enforcement, Lanny Davis, will probably be proposing something like that sooner or later. Keep an eye on the WH Blog for further orders!

Great idea!  Perhaps they should wear some distinctive clothing, something modeled along the lines of a military or police shirt, so it's clear they are on the same side, so they don't end up going after each other.  If successful, this could even be expanded later to include a youth organization, to supplant those awful homophobic Boy and Girl Scouts...

Let's go with 'Choice D, All of the above' on that one.

Well, I'm just glad we saved DUmmy 1's brown shirt comment for posterity.   Ya know, Talking Points Memo has a strategy paper for dealing with the noisy Freepers at these town halls.  But, most of the directives assume that they have vast, vast majorities on their sides.  Polls are saying otherwise.

I can't wait for the first stand off between patriots and moonbats.  God sent us YouTube for a reason.

Well the DUmmies are going to get their wish.

John Sweeney have offered up his Teamsters goons to counter Conservatives that show up at the Healthcare Town Hall meetings.

I hope they do . The best thing about non uniformed "Security" is that they have no legal protections no matter the reason for them being there. So if they want to play that game then I say let them. The first one to try might be looking at Mr Smith and Mr Wesson or for those more well healed Mr Heckler and Mr Koch.

The unions have been using this tactic since the 1930's! Problem is, most of us "working", blue collar workers are wise to their shit and will respond in kind!

For the most part, most union workers I know have gotten soft over their silver spoon fed "benefits". We'd wip the floor with 'em! I mean when ya get paid to play cards all day at full pay, how "bad" can ya be?

Ras says today that 41% view the townhall protesters favorably, 35% do not.

If you think union thugs have no protections, you haven't been on site at many violent strikes. I support the police as strongly as anyone, but when it comes to union thugs, many police officers revert to their organized labor side. In multiple cases, I've personally watched union hooligans demolish private automobiles, threaten people with deadly weapons, and destroy private property, all the while being protected from interference by unionized police officers. Never assume that union thugs will be deterred by the presence of law enforcement. They are the only species of criminal that is often given a pass by police officers. I'm not saying  it happens all the time, but it most certainly happens.

I don't know what they're worried about. As long as you're not caught being conservative while black you're not in any danger.

And that my friend is why I never joined a union....organized criminals.
Not all maybe but to many in the crowd were. I don't go for destroying peoples property.
