Quiet day on the horizon for me. Football practice and baseball practice tonight for the boys, dance this morning for the girl, but that's it.
I'm not even making dinner today...I want to use up some leftovers in the fridge before they go bad.
School starts 3 weeks from today.

Not much going today, but then there hardly ever is. :) I did have to go into work last night from 11p.m. to 12:30a.m. but got paid for 2 hours call in overtime. :)

Had a bit of a disagreement with my girl. Not an easy time for us at the moment.

Oh. Sure. Well, it's like this ..... the kids are both in band camp from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm every day this week. Tonight they have youth at church. The missus gets off at 2:30 pm and I get off at 4:30 pm and the kids won't be home until 8:30 pm ....... :naughty:

Combo of heat and lots of rain the last few days is giving me the headache from hell.... :bawl:
....and need to go do an interior shoot on the far side of the county (about 45 minutes away), work on my 2008 taxes that have to be at the accountant's by 11am on Friday, do a foreclosure eviction and final prep stuff for a closing next week.
I'm on here trying to ignore everything..... :(

Was in the high 70's upstairs this morning before I went to work. Expected high today of 90 with possible thunderboomers. Won't get home until 8 or so (another 12-hour shift). Oh well, at least it's only for one room so the A/C should cool down the bedroom fairly quickly.
They're already expecting temps this weekend to be in the low- to mid-70's. Good lawnmowing weather.

Ugh! we have 4 weeks until school. We have two new buildings opening up so they took a LOOONNGG summer break and shortened the Christmas break and took less teacher work day type things.
Went to my Latin Fusion class this morning, the same freestyle class like the ones where the poor women lost their lives last night at the LA Fitness, and the mood was somber, but we still had our usual Wednesday morning party and danced our hineys off for those girls! I hope God's looking over everyone effected.
As for me, I'm hoping my mother returns home so I can get to a job fair. The estranged other half was supposed to be here, but forget and now has a meeting he can not get out of. Frustrating since I can't get callbacks and I thought this would help to be there to actually interview since I do interview well. *sigh*

Finally getting my FOID card. Got all the crap untangled with the lllinois State Police yesterday, and I should have my "the state of Illinois has decided to let you have your 2nd amendment right" card next week hopefully. That's about the only exciting thing for me today.

I just got a call from one of my doctors. My blood work came back and it looks good. The BIG thing is I do NOT have DIABETES. That is tremendous news.
I have been treated as a diabetic since the night I was 9-1-1'ed to the hospital. My fingertips are sore and the restrictive diet sucked, especially on top of my "heart" diet. The only joy I had to look forward to in my life was sucking on lemons dipped in Splenda.

Lemons in Splenda. Ummmm Yum?
Today was a long one. Work 3 1/2 hours. Dip out for an early morning lunch for a couple of hours to fly down to palm Bay to attend a mandatory CCCS First Time Home Buyers counseling session to qualify for my bond money. Back towork foranother looooooooong 3 and a half.
Home to sift through a pile of homeowners insurance quotes, 99% of which are worthless due to some magical date known only to insurance companies dictating hurricanes :mental:
Pick Momma up from work, then pick up Lil Missy and off to eldest daughters to pick up Mommas van. They took off to enroll in school and grocery shop.
While they did that I was off to an agent who's NOT a criminal and as a bonus, Professional. (Long story there)
Off from there to my mortgage broker to turn in the paperwork on the class and the insurance. Back home to a quicky dinner and now here I sit, wiped out but to tired to sleep LOL

Went and shot the interior early this evening.....other half went with me. Nice house....except it appeared that the animals had pooped everywhere throughout the house based on the smell. It was all cleaned up except for the bathtub...that was full of brown stuff....the power wasnt' on and I wasn't getting close enough to determine it's chemical content. Lots and lots of dead flies in there too....
Stopped at a Cracker Barrel on the way home and ate....hadn't really eaten much all day so stuffed myself and brought home an apple dumpling....I think they gave me two....it's huge!!! :drool:
Randy....there really are some of us Realtors who are not criminals....unfortunately those that are bad make the rest of us get painted with the same brush. My brother is trying to buy a house in a Chicago suburb....they just "lost" the second house they've had a contract on! I have been appalled by some of the things his agent has done/not done. He's had it with the agent and it getting a new one. I'm surprised he waited this long! :censored:

My mother has had a lung infection for a couple of days.
Today she an angiogram, it took several hours and she is now home resting. I just left there so I could come home and get some sleep. It's nice outside.
The angiogram showed no blockages, as they were worried about her heart. I've glad the test is over with.
My cousin lost his father in law this week, he hit his head on a rafter going down basement steps and fell. A 45 year old friend of mine had to get a new hip, and a neighbor is now under hospice care....these are all young guys....
Next week is vacation in Las Vegas.

Got insurance quotes today for the new house and our cars. Next I tackle getting the CA car tags. I am avoiding this because I know it will be a PITA. Anyone know if it is worth joining AAA to have them handle it?

And the SoCal HQ for AAA is on Harbor just north of the 405. I'm sure they also have an office in Fullerton. Trust me, you break down, you WANT AAA in that town, plus the recommended repair shops save you a ton alone.

You can get hotel and vacation discounts with AAA. I think they also offer service and repair discounts ,too. It sounds like a good deal.
If you gotta live in California, I'd take all the breaks I can get. :(
