Oh my.

The subway cat.

Alas for the subway cat, thus far the other primitives have ignored this bonfire.

Strange

Strange..I have had all my life ADHD.As a kid I took ritalin. Nowadays I take adderall.

The post on Greatest about methamphetamines

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.ph...

got me wondering, why do I forget to take the adderall, it is a combination of amphetamine salts apparently, something close to what the article discribes as a bad thing, maybe I should quit taking it? .

I put my meds ,in a 7 day holder thing, and every week I find out I forget to take it for one day or more days when I fill it for the next week, always there are extras left over. And there are pills left at the month's end.I rush out the house in the morning without remembering to take it first , or I forget so they are the ones leftover.

Could it be because of the types of traumas I have gone through (being around a vicious drunk, being drugged than restrained etc. against my will..among other things,)create in me such a strong dislike of being or feeling drugged? Could my traumas really be part of the reason why I have no addiction issues at all ?

I really do not like anything that alters my consciousness. As for the adderall I have been on this same 30 mg dose for years.I don't want it increased.I have told my shrink I do not need any increasing even if he suggests it, I refuse.

Anyone else with ADHD like this?

For her own good, one suspects the subway cat should take whatever her "shrink" tells her to take.

"subway cat being strange".....now before clinking on that, one can't help but wonder, "Should I grab my gun and run for cover or tie myself in my chair and prepare to be paralyzed by laughter."

As you know, sir, I am generally opposed to the use of pharmaceuticals.

Pharmaceuticals have their uses, but one should take them only if no alternative exists, and as cautiously as if one were swallowing dynamite, because sometimes they can be dynamite.

However, the subway cat's already so far gone that stopping the drugs won't do her any good; she's already wasted.

To be a burden on the tax-paying public longer, she really needs to take the pharmaceuticals prescribed her, and at the times and combinations prescribed her.

The subway cat is not a physician or a chemist.

She's hurting only herself, by taking those pharmaceuticals cafeteria style, and I'm sure the subway cat wants to be around for the longest time possible, so as to grab as much of other people's money as possible.

The subway cat should think about that.

For someone who "thinks" it's so smart...it should know ya build up a tolerance over time and it takes more to get these same results....

Well, one primitive finally showed up at the subway cat's bonfire, the primitive once known as the droopy drawers primitive:

1. Regarding addiction issues

I'd say that those traumatic experiences with drugs and alcohol would be enough to keep me clean, too. I don't know of too many things more scary than being drugged against your will. I was unknowingly drugged one time at a party. It took me a minute to figure out what happened- Coors sure as hell don't do that shit . It was a frightening experience. I was an adult when that happened, though.

After years of abusing my body with drugs, alcohol, and tobacco I've finally given it all up. I'm also in good shape for the first time in my adult life. Lost a bunch of weight. I feel the best I ever have. Alcohol, tobacco, and drug-free is the way to be, especially for us cracked folks. We've already got the odds of living a full, happy and successful life stacked against us. We don't need to make things harder.

The droopy drawers primitive is a little bit of a small cut above the mentality of the other primitives; he's been on Skins's island for quite a while, but for some reason when he changed his screen-name, my fellow alum didn't allow him to keep his post count.

One wonders what's up with that.

As for the droopy drawers primitive's last comment, in bold, above, that's exactly why franksolich doesn't do alcohol, and has never done pharmaceuticals.  Being deaf, franksolich doesn't need to make his life any harder by running away from reality.

Kudos to the droopy drawers primitive.

Wow, and here I thought it only had issues with large amounts of pineapple juice. Still, one wonders if it remembers to take it's other pills, why is this one so problematic? Do the other pills look less traumatizing? However, I'd say if it forgets its Adderall, that wouldn't be the worst thing. Hyperactivity is the least of its problems.

The pineapple juice popped in to my mind also. She says "as a kid I took ritalin", but I thought as a kid she took organic pineapple juice to remote view for the government. I'm no expert on remote viewing with organic pineapple juice, but I would think that Ritalin would interfere with the organic properties of the pineapple juice and impede the remote viewing process. Of course I suppose that the possibility exists that Blackie, the Ghost Chicken could use some sort of supernatural methods to leech the inorganic materials from her system.
