Title: House Progressives Object To Blue Dog Public Option Compromise
Post by: GoldieAZ on July 30, 2009, 07:16:48 PM

In a letter to be delivered to Speaker Nancy Pelosi and House health care leaders, Congressional progressives will reject a compromise Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA) forged with Blue Dog Democrats to advance legislation. "We regard the agreement reached by Chairman Waxman and several Blue Dog members of the [Energy and Commerce] Committee as fundamentally unacceptable," it reads.

This agreement is not a step forward toward a good health care bill, but a large step backwards. Any bill that does not provide, at a minimum, for a public option with reimbursement rates based on Medicare rates - not negotiated rates - is unacceptable.

...
Late update: House Progressives have announced that they've rounded up 53 signatures--if every one of them legitimately votes against a bill that incorporates the compromises the Blue Dogs extracted, they would kill it.

The more factions we're able to divide that collection of cluster****s into, the better.

I don't care who or what does it.  This systematic divide and conquer of America by the "two-party system" has got to be brought to an end.  If Teh BarackStar! is able to embolden the moonbat faction of his party to expose their moonbattiness for all to see, and disgust the "blue-dogs" in the same breath, so much the better.  If he's able to get teh Gheys, teh JOOOOOOOOS, the blacks, hispanics, American Indians and the guilt ridden white boys at each other's throats instead of standing in "solidarity", even better.

Furthermore, I hope Waxman's moonbat constituency throws him under the bus next year.

Considering the demo of his district, not likely.

I can't rtemember where I saw it, but . . . I saw something to the effect that Republicans should reach out to gays, and try to get them to become Republicans.  If the Obamessiah pisses them off enough, they just might sit out the next couple of election cycles, or vote for the Republican in 2012.  At least then they will know where they stand . . .
