DUmmy greenbriar is back, and starting to show midseason form. Here she rubs the destitute DUmmies' noses in her guaranteed teaching job, her taxpayer-financed medical insurance, and the fact she gets paid even if off sick. Then she tosses in an offhand lukewarm endorsement of the Kenyan's socialized medicine.

I was sick, in the hospital, but I realize I was LUCKY we need to add options to have recover time
I have good insurance
but...
I am a teacher and it is summer so I did not miss any days of work and I still get paid
I don't have the strength do even put in an hour in my classroom to get it ready for the school year, but I have the luxury of putting in the hours I want to at my own speed.
additionally, I realize that not everyone has that luxury. Some people that get sick miss work and do not get paid and could even lose their jobs
we need to not only get national health insurance but also a way to help those who need time to recuperate
I have a hunch DUmmy greenbriar wants no part of the Kenyan's socialist plan for medicine.

1. Yes, and then they lose the job and the insurance all while sick.
What a crappy situation. Its about time to join forces and demand jobs that bring the entire country forward to this century.. Vacation/ sick time off (you can't tell me its hurt the Europeans all that much to have their mandatory 4 weeks off of vacation.. they seem to have survived and not all the jobs disapeard)... A biggy for women would be maternity leave that also pays while out (include men in this option for maternity time off with new baby to help out and we might actually get it). All of these things would bring our lives much more happiness.
Right. Nearly all DUmmies have some kind of chronic condition, and they should be allowed to miss as much time as they want and still be paid full salary. Plus a four-week paid vacation from the call center or deep fryer. And fully paid maternity and paternity leave, until the child finishes high school.

2. We also need to find a balance between guiding doctors and
allowing them to determine how long a patient needs to stay hospitalized. People shouldn't treat the hospital as a spa, but one person can be ready to go home in a day and maybe the next one needs a week.

5. I hope you're doing better now greenbriar...
Everyone understands how hard you teachers work to get your classroom ready for the year. That
is a lot of work. I know your students, and the parents will appreciate all of your efforts.
I'm glad you have some time to ease into work. Like you said, you can go in for a bit and
take many days to get set up. Just take it easy and don't over exert yourself!
Rest easy, DUmmy CoffeeCat, rest easy. There is no risk whatsoever of DUmmy greenbriar overexerting herself.

7. I had one of mine before noon and..
was at the mall buying baby stuff in the afternoon. Baby was required to stay three days. That wasn't a good thing, because it gave me time to forget I had to get up in the middle of the night to feed her.
Don't know what to say about that. Obviously DUmmy Kindigger is blessed with some...er....generous dimensions.

You know, GOBUCKS, sir, you yourself predicted this would happen, a few days ago.
I can't find the thread, this has unfolded exactly as you predicted it would.

Greenbriar is a miserable and deeply insecure person.

She gets paid during Summer vacation? I thought you had to teach Summer school to get paid during the Summer.

A teacher can opt for their pay to be divided by 12 or by 9. 12 makes sense if you want a steady income over the entire year. At least that is the way it is in Kansas where Primate Greenbriar teaches.

It's the same way around here. I interviewed with the Christian County (KY) school board a few years ago, and they made me the same offer.
I was interviewing for a position in administration and not as a teacher.

It works that way in California too.

You know, I wish I had had a government job. I could have excelled at being a worthless ass and enjoyed the fruits of ya'lls labor. :-)

Great state jobs up here, Johnny, find a friend of a friend and go for a state job collecting tole's on highways.
8-10 hours a day on your feet--unless you sneak in a small stool, you will have to buy your own latex gloves for health protection and in winter it may get a bit cold so spend some big bucks at LL Bean.
All you will have to do is welcome cars that drive up to the state, take their change and send them on their way.
Benefits are 100% health care for you and dependents, 4 weeks vacation paid and in 20 years you can retire at full pay.
You need to look into state jobs Johnny in all states. some are odd, In Tenn, a 6 week course on town water supplies can get you a highway to heaven,

I'm speechless by the stupidity of glowing. The one who wants full salary to do nothing. Stay in bed, wake and bake, whatever. "All these things would bring our lives much happiness." I feel like punching it in the mouth.
-
I'm not sure which is uglier -
--the picture in my mind of Greenbriar seducing her husband and "sending him to bed with a smile"
--or Greenbriar being sick in bed with pancreatitis.

I would love to see these idiots forced to open a business and provide all the benefits they scream for. It would make me all warm and fuzzy inside watching them squirm to be competitive while being forced by their government to provide for cry babies like themselves. They would be forced to provide;
100% health care coverage
4 weeks of paid vacation a year (not to be confused with SICK time)
10 days of paid sick time a year (not to be confused with state and national holidays and would not require a dr.s excuse)
12 to 14 paid state and national holidays a year (not to be confused with emergency paid time off)
5 days of paid mental health days off a year
6 weeks of paid maternity leave a year (not to mention if you employ both the mother and the father)
Never ending workmans comp days off
Mandated break periods all at full time pay including lunch
Those are just a few off the top of my head. Feel free to add to the list then we'll add up all the days of full time off with pay and see how many days a year their employees would actually have to perform their job. This could get interesting.
Just this list gives an employee 49 paid days off not counting the maternity leave. 2 and a half months of paid time off. This is all from posts I have seen over there at different times. I'm sure I'm missing some.

^exactly!!! Let's ask France how that's working out for them.
-
Oh, I forgot to add;
AND their employees MUST be paid a 'Living Wage' .....
What ever the hell that means.
DUmmies should either be forced to open a business and supply all these things or work on 100% commission.

Including fines for working more than 35 hours per week.

Texacon, you have to add in "personal" days, as it's called these days. After all, you cannot be expected to go to the dentist, or the DMV, and other mildly unpleasant errands on your designated "vacation" days. That just wouldn't be fair!
Oh, and also "bereavement" days, including for when your cat dies. You can't use vacation for that, either.

Oh geeze. Are you serious? So 'personal' days are not used up by Sick days/Vacation days? Wow.
Do they really have 'bereavement' days??
And these people are crying? Holy smoke, no wonder none of them are self employed! They can't afford themselves!

When my husband designed boats for a boat company in Lake Havasu if you wanted to get paid you had to work. There was no vacation or sick days. If you wanted to get paid for Thanksgiving or Christmas you had to work those days. The owner felt you were lucky to have a job and if you didn't agree you knew where the door was
My husband loved that job and if it weren't for me wanting to get the hell out of hell (aka Lake Havasu City) I bet he would still be working there.
