Coach's mention of the jobs forum piqued (peaked, in DUmmyspeak) my curiosity, so I checked it out. It is a deserted place, spooky as a chapter of DUmmy Mythsaje's latest best seller. Here's a DUmmy inquiry that's been ignored for over 19 months without a response:

Does anyone know about job prospects in Finance?
I'm a former physics teacher who was involunarily retired when no one would hire me -- for some inexplicable reason. I guess I was a shitty teacher.
Anyway, I'm thinking about getting into finance. I can get an MS in Finance online through the University of Michigan at Dearborn, and I'm very seriously considering doing this. (I'm also thinking about IT stuff, which has other pros and cons, but right now I'm only asking about Finance.)
I'm wondering what the job prospects are in Finance. I researched the Occupational Outlook handbook, and it indicated that job growth is pretty good. However, it seems like it's a degree that so many people get, the job prospects would be unfavorable, regardless of how fast the field growing. Anyone have an idea?
I'm worried about spending a ton of money on student loans and not getting a job, which is exactly what happened when I got my master's in education.

This is really strange. Ignore for a moment the fact he's exploring careers in finance during the peak of the financial frenzy, amid the much-publicized layoffs of tens of thousands in the field he's thinking of entering. Doing something that stupid is par for DUmmies. The really interesting deal here is that he claims to be a physics teacher, with a MEd, no less, and no one will hire him. With schools from coast to coast wailing about the shortage of teachers in science and mathematics, not one will hire him.
I am afraid DUmmy GOPBasher is leaving out a small detail. He must be in the same category as the drunken part time middle school substitute teacher who gave us Fitzmas. It's difficult, even for a qualified physics teacher, to continue a career in education after having been caught tweener diddling, or even teener diddling.

There's a lot of job offers in the career forum, but the primitives don't go to check.
It's like the primitives are afraid of it.

It's that daylight/vampires thing.
And GOBUCKS, you're quite right, there's gotta be a skeleton in the closet because you couldn't get more employable as an educator with credentials like that.
