I don't know about you, but I see a president working his butt off.
I see a president who entered office a bit over six months ago pushing, by himself, the most comprehensive healthcare plan in this country's history. I see a president going up against not only the Republicans and insurance industry and the healthcare industry and the media, but his own damn party. I see a president pretty much doing this alone through press conferences, speeches and town halls. I see a president who could have pushed off healthcare reform for a year or two or three to save his political ass, but decided to go ahead anyway. I see a president who is working his butt off for the American people and yet every powerful entity out there is working against him.
But he doesn't give up. He continues, pushing his plan and forcing the dialogue.
If Pres. Obama fails, it won't be for a lack of trying. If he fails, you can put full blame at the feet of the Democrats because it's them who should be out there fighting with him.
But they're not.
They're cowering in the shadows and forcing him to do it solo. Well it's no wonder he's struggling right now, because his supposed allies left him at the beaches of Normandy to fend off the Axis troops alone.
I wanna barf after reading that.

I dunno.
I see a president sitting on his butt.
And usually outside of the United States.

As of late I see a president trying to secure his place in history as not among the worst presidents to have ever lived. I feel this healthcare thing is quite important to him. After all the money his administration has washed through, Obama needs to do something to make the people feel like they had gotten at least a pony's worth of return.
President Bush spent money like a drunken sailor, but people felt like they were bought safety, and accepted it. Obama ? Nada.

You're forgetting his almost weekly trips to the golf course, that takes a lot of energy.

I see a guy who does nothing but take orders all day and then parties with wagyu beef in the evening. Must be heck of a carbon footprint.

As long as we "peasants" aren't emitting a carbon footprint, it's all GOOD!
One for all and all for Zero....

Hardest thing he's done is climb the stairs to Air Force One....often.
Next thing you know he'll have Marines carrying his sorry a$$ up the stairs ....or spend a few billion having an elevator installed. I shouldn't give him ideas.
-
WTF? He hasn't even READ the f'n thing. Maybe he needs to "work his ass off" reading the damn bill he wants to thrust upon the American people.
Damn, DUmmies are idiots.
-
He's apologized a lot. Maybe more than the last six presidents combined.
He's also worked extremely hard at destroying the founding fathers' intentions.
-
Yeah he's working his as off al right. To destroy a once proud country and it's economic system.
-

I got quite a chuckle out of this letter to the editor in the most recent issue of Golf World magazine:
Golf World magazine is a class act. The best in golf. Please stay the course. Consider dropping the almost weekly promos for President Obama. If I wanted to read more about Obama, I would read the Daily Worker or Pravda. I care about the great game of golf - not Obama's latest p.r. stunt. You might want to poll your readers on this issue. Golf World is the best. Don't screw it up.

I see a man working his butt off alright...trying to re-arrange deck chairs on a Titanic-esque shipwreck known as Socialized Healthcare.
-
Actually the man makes me want to vomit everytime I hear or see him. :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke:
-
I would love to be a fly on the wall to see all of his hard "work" :loser:

What I see/hear is a semi-coherent line of blather and nonsense that is the most despotic ideas I have heard from an American politician in my life!
And here's a giant clue:
"According to the DSM-IV, the disorder begins by early adulthood and is indicated by the subject exhibiting at least five of the following:
1. An exaggerated sense of self-importance
2. Preoccupation with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or
ideal love
3. Believes he is "special" and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions)
4. Requires excessive admiration
5. Has a sense of entitlement
6. Selfishly takes advantage of others to achieve his own ends
7. Lacks empathy
8. Is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him
9. Shows arrogant, haughty, patronizing, or contemptuous behaviors or attitudes
Everyone has some Narcissistic traits, and a certain amount of Narcissism is a necessary and healthy thing. What’s different about the personality disorder is that the symptoms are prominent and persistent over time and pervade every aspect of the person’s existence. It can be very disabling in extreme cases; and in others those who have this personality can make the people around them thoroughly miserable, since some narcissists can be manipulative, predatory and completely lacking in empathy. Narcissists are notoriously spiteful and vicious and usually alienate anyone close to them."
