The sign on the side of the soutbound Interstate 39 was meant to direct drivers heading for the villages of Rothschild and Schofield in central Wisconsin.
But the sign maker appears to have struggled with the vowels in the names, which instead came out as Rothschield and Schofeild.
To add to the confusion the painter also misspelled the name of the road, rechristening Business Highway 51 as Buisness Highway 51.
In fact the only word on the sign that came out correctly was "exit" – a term that even young schoolchildren would struggle to spell incorrectly. ...
