Did any of you catch Bill Moyers on PBS tonight? Had a special on Hate Talk Radio.
It was pretty good. Had some interesting info about Unitarian Universalist church-shooter Jim D. Adkisson, that unemployed trucker who decided to "kill as many liberals" as he could before the cops could shoot him down.

Too bad the right-wing radio shock jocks can't be charged with "hate crimes" for spurring people like him into action! Listening to Glenn Beck, Neal Boortz, and Michael Savage compare liberals to "cockroaches" and the like is really sickening...

Well, the "cockroach" business was from Rwanda, but that term could apply accurately to lots of dems, so give him a pass.

...If you look at the history of like-- situations like in Rwanda in 1994, the talk radio was a big part of leading to the conditions that created a genocide. The Hutu radio disc jockeys would call the Tutsi cockroaches. There's the sense that these aren't human beings. You know, they're not human beings with children or grandchildren. These are cockroaches. And when you hear in talk radio that liberals are evil, that they are traitors, that they are godless, that they are on the side of the terrorist-- that's hate language. You don't negotiate with evil people. You don't live in community with people you consider to be traitors.
Now I'm all confused. What part of that is inaccurate? Liberals are evil, godless, traitors who are on the side of the terrorists. Sounds like "speaking truth to power" to me - that used to be one of the DUmmies' most favored activities.

7. It's high past time to shut these people down through media re-regulation
and corporate divestment.
They will need the Chosen One to develop regulations to shut down conservative commentators, while not affecting the vulgar hatred that is the DUmp's stock in trade.

Why would corporations divest themselves from a profitable business such as conservative talk radio? :mental:
