He had awoken late on Friday night to discover stepson Alex Lee being beaten by the group of teenagers.

I've had that happen with several news sites. Look at it this way, they are letting you know how much you can copy, and they make posting the link easier.

That's socialism for ya! More proof that England needs a Pinochet type leadership.

You would've thought the inhabitants of that island would have learned something about the right of self-defense, CAstle doctrine, and all that after that little boo-boo of inviting the Saxons and Angles in to protect them from the Picts. But apparently the place seems to have gone through some sort of massive and collective cognitive collapse in the last 50 or so years.

He was just arrested. He wasn't tried, wasn't sentenced to life in prison, just arrested.
I'm pretty sure that the same would happen here in the US.

Actually, the United Kingdom has been pretty aggressive in prosecuting anybody who defends themselves from thugs these past several years. Can't appear to be advocating vigilantism, now can they? Especially when their aggressive stance in banning private ownership of firearms has backfired so spectacularly.

Woman, 28, told to prove age to buy pizza-cutter
A shopper was astonished when staff at Marks and Spencer demanded that she prove her age before she bought a pizza-cutter.
Jenny Palmer, 28, was asked for her ID at the checkout after she went to the retailer's Derby store to buy the £1.50 item.
"I'm only two years off my 30th birthday and hardly look like I'm going to go out and physically harm someone," she said.
"I told the checkout woman I was buying it because I was moving into a new house, but she said her screen was telling her to ask for ID. I think she could have used some common sense. I can't believe I had to go through all of that just to buy a pizza-cutter, of all things."
M&S insisted its employee was right to demand proof of age from Ms Palmer under the 'Challenge 25' policy.

Yes, in some states and jurisdictions, but not all, a person whom kills another in self-defense is often arrested initially.
Unfortunately, for the last few years in Britain, that initial arrest has often been followed by condemnation of the act as well as charges being filed which led to convictions.

Let's keep in mind that the arrestee did not kill the perp, merely injured him with a letter opener. So for a charge of "attempted murder" rather than some other charge, say of assault and battery for instance, that's going waaaaaay over the top.
This is England, though, not the U.S. But I still can't help but wonder if England hasn't gone over to the dark side. I mean, look at what happened to Madonna. :mental:

No !!! Let's not look at Madonna, she is scary looking. :evillaugh:

They are way dark side. They've had sharia courts for a while now. Like what? A year or two?
It wont be long now before there aren't any Britons left in Britain.
