PLEASE READ THE CRITERIA FOR ALTITUDE BEFORE ANSWERING THE QUESTION.
This poll for statistical purposes only; I have about five more to post, in market research to determine what needs to be done to attract traffic to the Lounge.
I dunno what the national "averages" are, so am using the Nebraska standards:
If one is male, 6'2" and taller is "tall."
If one is male, 5'10" to 6'2" is "average."
If one is male, less than 5'10" is "short."
If one is female, 6' and taller is "tall."
If one is female, 5'8" to 6' is "average."
If one is female, less than 5'8" is "short."

I'm fairly certain you have the heights wrong for women so I decided to look it up. The average height for women is 5' 3.5". I tried to find out what was considered tall for a woman and couldn't find a consiststant answer. It's either 5'7" or 5"8".
I'm 5"7" and my oldest daughter is already 5"8" and she is only 15
-
I answered "average" per your instructions, Frank, but have been considered tall my entire adult life...I'm 5'9".
My daughter is 5'3"...I would consider her short.
-
5'2.75" checking in :-)
-
-
I'm 6'4", X-wife was 5'8"....I always loved long legged, tall women......very happily married to a 5' runt now though.
-
I'm kind of wondering what Frank's going to do with all of this information.

It's all good, sir; I'm trying to bring people to post in the Lounge.

I thought maybe you were looking for a taller than average, rich woman with an advanced degree who likes oval watermelons. :-)

Well, all the unhitched women around here--there's not many, but some--in the Sandhills, they're generally pretty close to six feet, like 5'10".
I'm 6'3", and recall how when I lived in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, it seemed as if I towered over most people there. Here, I'm a little bit taller than usual, but not enough that I stand out.
I read on freerepublic once that Dutch and Danish males are the tallest in Europe; there aren't hardly any of Dutch derivation in Nebraska, but those of Danish derivation are one of the three major ethnic groups here.
Somewhere else on the internet (sorry, no link, because if I saved every link pointing to useful and valuable information, I wouldn't have any "free space" on the hard-drive), I read that South Dakotans tend to be microscopically-taller than Nebraskans.

Made me laugh. :-)

I think this may be the first time in my life that somebody has called me short :o (I'm 5'7")
-
I think I'm average--by about 1/2".
-
It took me a while but I finally made it up to 5'1''
I think that still leaves me in the short catagory...where ever you set the mark....
-
I am 5'9. And no, I never played basketball.
-
I am the average for American males. Exactly. Except for weight, IQ, penis size,....
-
6-2 and a half
-
Pretty much exactly 6 foot.
-
I'm 5'4" on a very tall day.... :-)
(I was supposed to be 5'6" -5'7" but I never grew after I got hurt :(.....I do have long legs though...32" inseam.)
My daughter is 5'8" and my son is 6'1".
-
Here's one for ya. I was 6'0" most of my adult life. After 3 back overhauls, I'm now 6' 1".
go figure!

I am the perfect height. Everything in the world, except old houses in Europe, seem like they were designed specifically with me in mind. Door handles, elevator buttons, windows in doors, are all the perfect height for me.
The world truly is my oyster.
