I wouldn't. Not even if it got me an audience with the President of the United States.
Crowley's police report says that Professor Gates accused him of being a racist police officer, numerous times, as well as telling someone on the telephone that he was dealing with a racist police officer in his home. That leads me to believe that Professor Gates actually thought Crowley to be a racist.
If the police report is not true and Professor Gates didn't say those things, then Crowley is a liar, and he lied on an official report. If he lied about how a black man acted during the process of being arrested, that means Crowley IS a racist AND a liar.
It's fairly obvious the CU consensus is that Crowley's chosen profession and his actions during the incident at Professor Gates' house justify calling him a pig.
Would you sit down for a photo-op, beer in hand, with a lying racist pig who arrested you falsely and denied you your civil rights in your own home? I wouldn't either.
Do you believe that if Crowley was a lying racist pig when he walked onto Gates' porch last week, he'll suddenly be cured after sitting down with someone whom a) he didn't vote for, and said as much, and b) someone he thought worthy of arrest and/or lying about in his police report? I don't either. I believe that if he was a lying racist pig when he entered Professor Gates' house, then he'll be a lying racist pig when he enters the White House, and he'll be a lying racist pig when he leaves.
No matter how much charm President Obama has, no matter what he's capable of, he's not going to cure a lying racist pig of his lying racist beliefs by sitting down with him while the cameras flash over a beer across from someone who was nothing more than a perp to him. Racism and the propensity to lie are not things that can be cured in less than an hour.
I think that by inviting Crowley to the White House, President Obama legitimizes Crowley's actions, and his claim that he arrested Professor Gates for just reasons.
Were I Professor Gates, I would not put my name to such justification by attending a photo-op, no matter what beer was being served.
Ok the next one just about made me gag in disbelief. :rotf: :lmao:

Wait until public pressure forces the release of the Gates tapes, and then the whole world can hear what happened and decide for themselves.
Being that NOBODY on the left wants them released (and the left normally wants everything including national security issues in the public domain) tells me everything I need to know about whats on them.

They are mental infants and police are a symbol to them of something in authority telling them what things they can and can`t do.
They hate them as a small child rages when told they can`t have a cookie 15 minutes before dinner is ready.
Primitive behavior isn`t all that difficult to understand as to why they act as they do when one views them in the same fashion as you would a 5 year old.

I dunno about the second-mentioned, as I never paid attention, concentrating more upon Primitives of Prominence.
But as for Doug's ex-wife, she always seemed to have the blind fealty of a good number of other primitives, and a similarly good number of other primitives seem to have generally paid her no heed.
But now there appears to be emerging among the primitives some sort of active hostility about Doug's ex-wife; it's not a real big number yet, but it's visible, and increasing.
My money's on that Doug's ex-wife is fading.
That's what happens with old age combined with promiscuous use of mood-altering pharmaceuticals; one degenerates into silliness, and fewer and fewer people take one seriously.
