Why the uproar over only executive pay?
Why do so many DU'ers rail against the pay of executives in essential industries creating products we use every day, but completely ignore the outrageous pay of entertainers in our society? Why is it ok for Sean Penn to make $20 million for a film while the camera guy makes $20 bucks an hour, the assistant on set makes $10, and the ticket taker at the box office makes minimum wage, but it's not ok for the CEO of a firm making cars to make even a few million a year? Do actors and entertainers get a free pass just because they lean left? We need to reform pay in society as a whole, not just where it's politically convenient.

You don't know film pay very well. Your numbers are ridiculous. I seriously doubt Penn makes $20 million for a film. $20 million dollars is almost the entire budget of most non-blockbuster films. But even if he did, say, make $5 or $10 million, he'd have to pay out about 30% in fees to agents and so forth.
The camera "guy" (you know, there are female DPs) is in a solid union job. I don't know what DPs make, but union editors on major, high budget feature films make about $10K a week. Even PAs (the grunts of the industry who fetch coffee and coil cords) on local indie commercials for used car dealerships make more than $10 an hour.
And how about this for a reason:
Sean Penn has a ****ING JOB while CEOs are unnecessary slugs that suck off the workers of a company. A factory can EASILY exist without a CEO. A movie can't exist (unless its a cartoon) without a leading actor.
That shows the level of idiocy that exists on the left.
A factory producing a product must have above it a distribution system,a packaging system,a marketing system and on and on.
Those are eventually whittled down to a manager of each who gets compensated based on how well (profitable...oh the horror) the company is.
At some point there is one person that they answer to who has to be held accountable if a public company by shareholders and the SEC.
Just plain stupid is all one can say about primitives.

A lot of CEO's have worked their way up through the company, and have intimate knowledge of all aspects of the business. The one's I've dealt with certainly have.

The CEO's you don't hear about are the ones that keep their employees employed and their business in business. Their salaries do a lot more than a dozen DUmmies ever could to keep the economy moving.
Without CEO's, DUmmies wouldn't have jobs.

Workers don't exist in a vacuum. A bunch of employees can't just gather in one spot and rub together long enough to spontaneously evolve into a company. Without leadership, employees are just a bunch of people standing around in the same room looking at each other.

I can't believe the Census Bureau had to issue a statement last week that "if a Census worker asks you for money, you should report it immediately". They must be hiring some sorry mother****ers since the community organizer in chief took over the job.

You should see the "apply here for census jobs" in the local black moonbats yard. She even put it next to the "See the Barack Obama exhibit" sign.....amongst all the other Obama signs in her yard.

DUmmies have no idea what a CEO does and therefore think about what they would do as a CEO. Of course, that is why they would never rise to the level of a CEO.
