WASHINGTON (AP) - Speaker Nancy Pelosi says Democrats have the votes to pass health care legislation in the House, even though negotiations are under way to make changes in the bill to satisfy some of its critics.
The House’s top Democrat declined to say when she will call for the vote on President Barack Obama’s top domestic priority. She says she wants to see what the Senate’s plans are.
The California Democrat made her comments at a news conference Wednesday. She spoke as conservatives and the White House seek changes to impose greater cost controls on health care. Other members of the rank and file seek additional changes.[/quote]

So if this is passed, it should be just out of the gates and really screwed up by the time 2010 elections roll around.
When seniors start being denied health care they will come out with torches and pitchforks-that is one voting block you mess with.
The best thing is seniors will never believe the Rats when they claim "the-GOP-will-cut-your-health-care" scare tactics.
Communism does NOT work in an educated society. Certainly not in an ARMED educated society.

I've already asked my Congresscritter (who WILL vote for this POS bill) if she's going to go on it now, or when she's voted out of office in 2010.

Hi,
The sentence about the senate is very telling. Basically she is saying that they do not want to go it alone. They know their careers are toast and the last thing they want to do is vote for something that does not pass the senate....cause they are toast anyway even if it fails.
Keep pounding folks we cannot let up on the pressure on our members of congress.

I hope you are right. At the same time I have come to the conclusion that the libs, take Bill Clinton for example, will say anything to promote their agenda and they have no conscience. BO is flat out lying about the health care bill and they just take it as the way you have to get things done. He is further enhanced by the mainstream press that knows it and never, ever calls him on it. Last night Glenn Beck said that BO is diningenious, why the heck doesn't he just say the guy is a flat our liar. Limbaugh dissected his speech on health care, item by item and said "not ture"...why doesn't he just say, Lies, lies lies....they seem to have an aversion to using that word. Only politician who they say lied is Bush and Cheney......and that was a lie.
I used to work with a guy like that and he lied all the time. It got to be such a habit with him I think he was delusional because it just became who he was. At least 20 of us worked with him for 25+ years and when he died not one employee went to his funeral, it was almost like we were all cheering the wicked witch is dead.
Much like Jane Fonda, they best not make it known where Pelosi is buried because they will not be able to grow grass anywhere around her grave..... I know many people who would gladly make a donation to her graveside maintenance pool.

I think Rush has this thing pegged when he said that Stretch wants this passed before August.
The reason being is that if they don't vote until after the break, the congresspersons will have been grilled and basically TOLD by the voters NOT to vote for this POS bill. If they can do it before the break, big whoop, all the bitching in the world by the voters won't matter.
Just hope the damned thing dies in the Senate if it gets there....
