This is however very odd.
This is in the mental health forum on Skins's island.
I dunno if that's the best place to launch a campaign.

On Tuesday I started campaigning for city council
Thats right my friends, mdmc is gonna be the change that I want to see in the world.
My little city is quite a mess - no jobs, skyrocketing housing costs, drugs, gangs, corruption...
People wish me well, but insist that I must be crazy to want to get involved in this political cycle.
Well...
Yes I Am! and Yes I Can!

1. good luck my friend.
try not to spend any money that you don't have, but go, go, go. even if you don't win, political campaigns shape the debate. don't forget to post a link to contribute.

2. will do
Of course the money is tight, but I have a good campaign treasurer and I think we can pull in 10,000. I am keeping myself to $1000 - for all political donations - this year.
The forked primitive, who has the nerve, the gall, the chutzpah, to think he even knows 1% about sports that the cboy4 primitive knows:

4. update
I regret to inform my friends on DU that I was unable to secure enough dem signatures to secure a place on the 9-15-09 Democratic Primary Ballot.
The Election will, more or less, be decided by the 9-15-09 Democratic Primary Ballot.
I will however be on the General Primary Ballot.
I was endorsed by the Working Families Party. Yesterday I officially accepted their nomination.
2011 is the next year that local seats will be up for election. I plan to run again at that time. By then I will be sure to have my ducks in a row, as the saying goes.
Peace and low stress to all..

5. You must have learned some valuable things from this attempt.
And you can put those lessons to use next time around.

Don't laugh.
This DUmmy sounds like a slightly smarter version of Stuart Smalley.

Is this that freaky girl in that NY state town?

Some city up by Albany; perhaps Carl or muddyemms would remember it.
If I remember correctly, it's where West Point is located, or close to it.
The candidatal primitive was first thought to be a Hindu-looking woman, but further research apparently betrayed it to be male. And so no final verdict yet, on its identity.

Somebody got confused....thought they were running for "TITY COUNCIL"....found out there were no freebies and quit.

WFP is an ACORN front group BTW

Afraid I am not familiar with the situation Frank.
NYS politics is such a cesspool of incompetance and corruption it is easy to lose track of things.

Problem is, YOU don't know how to fix it. "I" do, but it's not politically correct.

Then it's name is on this list...

Do you know the sex of this DUmmy, frank? (I mean M or F, not what they probably "want" to be).

If he wants to fix all of that, I guess that means he's trying to run as a conservative.
:rotf:

That's the list for western New York, BadCat.
That's a badly-designed web-site for that organization; I tried searching on it for eastern New York, but couldn't find anything.
The primitive's running for office somewhere in eastern New York, some city between New York City and Albany, on the Hudson River. For the life of me, I can't remember the name of the city, other than that it's near West Point.
-
It's either Kingston, or Poughkeepsie. (Not sure if I spelled the second one right, though.) Then again, it could be Beacon. Of the three, I think Poughkeepsie is above WP, and Beacon is below, on the opposite side of the Hudson. Wait a sec--add Newburgh to the list of cities it could be. Newburgh is just north of WP.
-
Okay, I looked around for it.
It's Newburgh.

Newburgh. That rings a bell. I hope she gets just enough votes to cost the Democrat the election.. should be about 45% in that town

WFP is an ACORN front group BTW
What a shocker :whatever:
-
Working Families Party...a buncha communists. How's this for a RINO: My rep in the state legislature ran on the WFP ticket at one time. My area is firmly Republican ever since the civil war. Realizing that, she jumped parties to R and won the election. Useless as far as I can tell. Regardless, a fraud.
I was mentally shouting at the screen: IT'S NEWBURGH IT'S NEWBURGH! :-) Then you got it.

Regret?!? Kook liberals (pardon the redundancy) unable to secure a place on the ballot is a good thing. We need to find out how to bottle and sell it for the sake of the country as a whole.

I still think it's funny that he announced it in, of all places, the "mental health" forum on Skins's island.

I knew that if I named the cities around there, I'd hit it eventually.
