Title: WTF with the Neal Boortz header gizmo?
Post by: DumbAss Tanker on July 20, 2009, 05:10:46 PM
If that's something the site admins actually chose to put up, and not jsut paid advertising you can't do anything about, let me just say it's as annoying as all Hell.

Agreed.  For every leap forward in computing power there is a 4 fold leap backward in some ad's ability to **** up the interweb.  Where the hell is alBore when we need him?

I could give a rat's hindquarters about Boorts himself one way or the other, that isn't the problem,  It's the ad popping back in on my screen every time I change pages that's pissing me off.  It could be a "Ronald Reagan for Rushmore" ad and it'd still be just as irritating.

If I vote, will it go away?

Boortz it up against NPR's This American Life.  If you've never heard it, it's an irritating little show run by some irritating little man from Chicago (or New York) with plenty of left-wing cliches about middle America.

The fact that is taller than most ads is annoying too, I have to scroll down to see posts and such.

I think what pisses me of most about it is that it is included on the spell-checker.....makes it take forever to load.........

Neal Boortz enters the Radio Hall of Fame

Atlanta’s own Neal Boortz has been named a member of the national Radio Hall of Fame.

After being nominated, Boortz actively campaigned for a spot. “I’m not going to sit back and sing ‘Que Sera Sera,’ ” he said. “Obama campaigned!”

It obviously worked. He asked folks at Cox corporate, his syndicators and the 300,000 people on the Fair Tax organization email list to
