I need help. My parent's have Teabagged.
I just found out over the weekend. My mom said she went to a tea party. I said "Did you bring scones?" "No" she replied, "it wasn't that kind of tea party, they didn't serve tea." Huh? Than I understood. Images of my parent teabagging ran through my head. Teabagging with strangers. Republican strangers. I shivered, I shuddered, I threw up in my mouth a little.

I said "Isn't that one of those racist rallies? Where they call President Obama a muslim?"
She replied "Some did, but it wasn't racist, it was patriotic. They had bands and politicians spoke".
I paused..."Any African Americans there?"
"I don't think so" she said.
"Just white people?" I asked.
"Ummmm...not..really sure, I guess".

I changed the subject before it got ugly.

Should I perform an intervention? Hire one of those companies that 'cure' cult members?

Signed,

Sickened in Sacramento

Just because there were no blacks at that protest is irrelevant , how many whites show up at NAACP meetings?

Give the money to the ACLU, then yell "how's it feel to be teabagged, Mom?!"
The DUmmie is more likely to by drugs and Cheetos than to donate the money. ( What type of sick person would "teabag" their mom? It's the DUmp, never mind)

So, just because 95% of blacks in this country are flippin' ****ing idiots because they voted for this failure, it's somehow racist? "Whitey" didn't make them vote for the damn idiot.

Don't worry, when Cap and Trade hit them, the number of black protestors will grow.

In all honesty, it is considerably more racist that 95-98% of blacks voted for Obama than the fact that the DUmmy's mom didn't see any black people at the rally.  I can guarantee that if 95% of white in the country voted for a white candidate over a black candidate, there would be immediate cries of racism.  Black people have been more than welcome at the Tea Party rallies, patriotism, and frustration with taxes, etc., is not, and should not be, a racial issue.  Trying to make it a racial issue is racist in itself.  Accusations that Obama is Muslim has much less to do with his race, after all, most Black people in the US are more affiliated with Christianity than Islam, but with the fact that his father was Muslim, he spent at least part of his childhood in a predominantly Muslim country, and with his actions since taking office.

It does seem that he favors Islam over Christianity.

Africa Vs. The Arab World
Anne Bayefsky, 07.12.09, 01:55 PM EDT
Why does Obama treat the two so differently?

Speaking in Ghana on Saturday President Obama lectured Africans on local repression, corruption, brutality, good governance and accountability. The startling contrast to his June speech in Cairo was revealing. Stroking Muslim and Arab nations has become the hallmark of Obama's foreign policy.

In Egypt, he chose not to utter the words "terrorism" or "genocide." In Egypt, there was nothing "brutal" he could conjure up, no "corruption" and no "repression".

In Ghana, with a 70% Christian population, he mentioned "good governance" seven times and added direct calls upon his audience to "make change from the bottom up." He praised "people taking control of their destiny" and pressed "young people" to "hold your leaders accountable."

He made no such calls for action by the people of Arab states--despite the fact that not a single Arab country is "free," according to the latest Freedom House global survey.

Before the Muslim world Obama donned the role of apologist-in-chief. Over and over again his examples of shortfalls in the protection of rights and freedoms were American: the "prison at Guantanamo Bay," "rules on charitable giving [that] have made it harder for Muslims to fulfill their religious obligation," impediments to the "choice" of Muslim women to shroud their bodies.

I threw up in my mouth a little.

I don't want to see that phrase again.  I'm averse to it the same way some of us are averse to veggies.

I am so sick to death of these DUmpers toeing the Garafalo line and saying the teaparties are racist rallies.  They are keeping willfully ignorant.  All they have to do is read the signs to know what they're all about.  We had black people at ours, and nobody mentioned the word muslim.

I agree! But I think I'm hypersensitive, like those California crackpots who claim an allergy to the scent of perfume.

Another phrase worthy of contempt is anything associated with throwing something under a bus.

In a county with a  40% black population, we had 2 black speakers and a black couple with a small child at out small town Tea Party......that's it. The rest, I'd say, support Obama.
