Title: Sunny (FINALLY!!!!) Friday
Post by: NHSparky on July 10, 2009, 08:42:41 AM
High of 75 and sunny.  Possible afternoon thunderstorm, but not much chance of it.

Also told I'm working Saturday and Sunday.  More than likely 12 hours both days.  Lawyers have to get paid somehow.

I'm having a decent sized family dinner at my aunt and uncle's house tonight because my cousin is in town.  She went to school in Michigan, and got a job in New Mexico right after graduation so I don't get to see her enough.  She's a year younger than me, so we grew up together.  I'm excited to see her :-)

Today is the last day of my short week.  I think three days is perfect when adjusting to coming back from vacation.  My workload is slowly increasing, but it is still pretty light.

Nice weather here, as I head out of town for the weekend.   Unfortunately, I'm stuck in my bitty car, with no cruise control, instead of my truck.

Won't be around much 'til Monday!

Beautiful weather here, high's in the upper 80's to mid 90's. (heh, LOWER than normal temps)
Tonight we go to my parents place (Sacramento) and in the morning down to the delta for a day long "cruise" on a 36' (I think) sailboat. The owners are providing all the wine and munchies, should be a blast.

No lack of sunshine here, but glad things are warming up for you.

Sorry to hear about the attorney fees, it's been a while since I have had any. (knock on wood)

It will be a great day when you can get all of this behind you, hang in there friend.

How is your dad?

It's been nice here, yesterday it was right at 100 with a nice breeze and low humidity. I could not think of many other places I would rather live. (that are affordable, lol)

I'm off to work in a little bit, and will be spending part of the afternoon doing some company public relations combined with my seductive manner of sales.

Sales are up.....

Quote
XXXXXXXXXX had June sales of $5,236,400,000, an increase of 9.0 percent from $4,804,867,000 for the same month in 2008.

I guess you could say that I work for a big company.  :-)

Yeah, $2K retainer, but they said since everything is pretty much divided already it'll be more or less a paperwork chase, if she doesn't fight anything, which she's indicated she won't.  It may end up being only half that by the time everything is filed.  Time will tell.

Dad is fighting, but weak and lost a lot of weight.  They took him off chemo for at least 30 days or until he gets back up to 115-118 lbs.  At least he's not giving up--not his style.

I'm slowly roasting to death here in Phoenix. Thank goodness I don't work outside!

I meet with the lender at 2 p.m. This is really happening!

And I'm starting to get the itch to start another running program and maybe run a couple of 5K's in the fall. What am I--nuts?

November, not a problem.  September, yeah, you're nuts.

That's why the Rock N' Roll Marathon is in January.

I'm in no shape to run 13 or 26 miles right now. Three I might be able to do again.

You have my sympathies!! I was pregnant with my second one during the summer while living in NC. I would fill my little one's baby pool up with water, and while she was down for a nap I would lay in it and try to cool off. I looked like a beached whale. I would go grocery shopping at midnight in order not to burn up....

There are great aspects to being old..... :rotf:
