Stockbroker wore a designer suit, ordered a glass of champagne – and jumped
Oxford graduate in fear for his job chose to take his life days before 25th birthday

A promising young stockbroker worried about losing his job in the City jumped to his death from a rooftop restaurant wearing his best suit and holding a glass of champagne.
Oxford graduate Anjool Malde walked into the eighth-floor Coq d'Argent in the City of London at lunchtime on Sunday, just two days before his 25th birthday, clad in a Hugo Boss suit. He then ordered a glass of champagne and made his way on to the roof terrace, before jumping to his death.
The stockbroker had a burgeoning career at Deutsche Bank and was also a successful entrepreneur, co-founding an events company called AlphaParties, which organises social gatherings for young professionals, students and interns in London.
Last night, the stockbroker's parents, Naina and Bharat, issued a joint statement which read: "We are absolutely devastated. Equally we are so touched by the warm words from his many, many friends that alluded both to his tremendous talent and positive, lively spirit. He was an inspiration to so many. He meant everything to us.

2. Good Riddance.
His priorities must have been a bit skewed for what would make the world a better place for all.
Shame about the perfectly good suit, though.
It could have gone to someone on the street needed fresh clothes.
He should have jumped naked.

12. This happens when the accumulation of wealth is viewed
as the centerpiece of life.
Had he volunteered to teach some poor youth in Britain or India, his life may have had some purpose.

22. I feel for his family....him, not so much. Are stockbrokers anything more
than leaches on the underbelly of society? What higher purpose do they serve? Its a republican lie that the stock market helps average americans. 401Ks were a brainchild of the reagan era to sap billions of dollars from middle class america to further enrich the wealthy.

37. I knew Anjool
I knew Anjool at university, and came across this thread while searching online for news of his death. I cannot tell you how angry and sick it made me feel to read the comments of some of you; shame on you for using the death of a young man, a man you never knew, as an opportunity to make vile remarks about someone whose only crime was to be a member of an unpopular profession.
Anjool was a thoroughly decent guy, not at all the "stereotypical banker". He was reserved and charming, and did an enormous amount of mentoring work for young people looking to go to Oxford and into finance; see the many tributes on Facebook and The Student Room if you don't believe me. He'd achieved so much already in life, through hard work and determination. Reports say he'd complained of stress at work earlier in the year, and it's clear he must have been in a very dark place when he decided to end his life. He wasn't running a central bank, or stealing people's pensions. He was just a young guy under a lot - too much - pressure. As a beneficiary of his kindness in the past, I was very sad to hear of his death. I can only imagine what his parents (he was an only child) and close friends are going through.
You can see a video he posted of himself singing Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKWqp0kBFZY . I hope those of you who chose to celebrate the news of his death, or use it as an opportunity to make disgusting remarks, watch it. And I hope to God his parents never see the foul comments on this thread.

Sadly, the comments will fall on deaf ears. These people know nothing but hate and misery, and revel in projecting it on any and every situation they can.

"Kieser" will not last long at the DUmp.
-
Ruh Roh! Me thinks the DUmmies are going to hell! H5 to the guy who called them on their hatred!
-
By the way, this is definitely a screencap worthy thread. It will likely be scrubbed soon.
I don't have anything loaded on this computer to do it, so if someone would oblige. :cheersmate:
-
More from the love and tolerance side of leftism.
What if the broker had been muslim? Kind of like telling a DUchebag there is freeeeeeee healthcare and a Section 8 voucher in the corner of a round room.
-
Hate and fear is all they have, what a waste of life. :mental:
-
They just can`t find a way to enjoy or have a satisfying life except to exist in a state of jealous rage.
Pitiful and pathetic.
-
After Kieser posted, some people came on with more appropriate remarks. One offered the excuse that "economic hardship" creates stress, which is where some of these comments came from. Please.
Judging by his parents' names, and his video, he was a Muslim.
The dreadful DU thread is still there, if someone can screencap it. Despicable creeps.
-
What wretched creatures.

Good Lord, they are ugly. None of the those who cheered that poor man's death have the courage to defend their despicable words or the shame to come back and apologize.
