Akron police say they aren't ready to call it a hate crime or a gang initiation.
But to Marty Marshall, his wife and two kids, it seems pretty clear.
It came after a family night of celebrating America and freedom with a fireworks show at Firestone Stadium. Marshall, his family and two friends were gathered outside a friend's home in South Akron.
Out of nowhere, the six were attacked by dozens of teenage boys, who shouted ''This is our world'' and ''This is a black world'' as they confronted Marshall and his family.
The Marshalls, who are white, say the crowd of teens who attacked them and two friends June 27 on Girard Street numbered close to 50. The teens were all black.

Too bad the some of the people who were attacked by black teens, didn't have shotguns in their homes, went in loaded and came out uh shootin in the air to chase them off.
And leave them to attack another day? I don't think so. If people act like uncivilized dangerous animals, they should be treated as such.

And that's the problem with these hate crimes bills. The inevitable result is non-equal protection under the law as framed in the constitution. Also, thoughts can't be legislated and minds cannot be read for intent. This Mathew Shepherd bill has been sitting around in desk drawers since 1999, and they still keep trying to ram it in.
This story is all over the interwebz today. I haven't yet gotten a good read on the commentary.

All the more reason for adults to have concealed weapons permits and weapons. This is just a matter of time I fear before it becomes the norm.

And given other recent cases, i.e., murdering a white couple after torturing, raping, and setting them on fire, I'm surprised it got THIS much attention.

Several thoughts.
1-I'm sure Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson will swing by there on their way back to Washington from the MJ parade/memorial service and straighten this all out.....for a nominal fee of course.
2-They should have remembered the secret handsigns and code phrase, "But we voted for Obama."
3-Say they used to be anti-gun, affirmative action supporting liberals?
4-Were any of the homies riding their free ponies?

disappointed pissed off that the recent hate crimes legislation appears to be racist in itself, waging a war against white people. If this crap doesn't stop, I see a race war in our future. We are all equal, no one race is better than another. We should all be held to the same standard. Imagine if a bunch of white teens did this to a black family ??

Hi,
Remember the flag with the coiled rattlesnake that said "Don't tread on me!" The reason they chose the rattlesnake is that it does not look for a fight, but if it gets in one it is a fight to the death. I hate to admit it but I know several folks who feel as you do and are fed up. One old guy recently said to me, "Bring it on before I am too old to do anything about it!" It would be a real mistake for folks to start a race war in this country, some may get a whole hell of a lot more than they bargained for. After the events of hurricane Katrina I know dozens of folks who have stocked up on weapons and ammunition because they saw those events as a preview of just what could happen. A lot more of the American public may be well prepared than folks think.
I know of no one who wants to provoke any problems, but like the rattlesnake, they are fully prepared if they are provoked. If BO tries to disarm them we may see several states become belligerent and even try to secede.

Ammo is becomming harder to obtain all the time. Everyone I know is stockpiling. Never seen anything like this before. Incidents like this make us believe we're just not paranooid, shit may hit the fan during this generation if we want a free America for our grandchildren.

I have yet to hear of a joger being attacked running with a big dog. How about car jacking, not alot of people get attacked and car stolen with a Rottie in the back seat.

I have reciently heard of a dog called a Russian Black Terrier, very odd dog, big dog 150 lbs and has this odd querk of needing to within eyesight of their master 24/7. From what I hear these very strong beasts refuse to eat if the master does not themselves feed them.
To own a dog of this breed one must be prepared to take that dog EVERYWHERE they go, The beast need alot of training, good with infants and older kids, cats and other dogs. Be prepared to have the beast watching you take a shower and sleep with in 2 feet of you at night.
They have this instinct to read their masters emotions, After being let out in the yard for more then 30 minutes they will run the house trying to look in the frigin windows to find their master.
It is the deturent that matters. believe it or not ones body language can make the creepies back off.

You have an 8 year old daughter that wants to take a walk around the block, this child cannot be armed, so just hand her the leash to her trained mastaff, she will be comming home safe and sound.

I know where my weapon is and what kid it's thinking of attacking.....I can't control the dog as well as my weapon.
....and I once had a silent sentinel in the house that would eat up your dogs...or any intruder....a 40 pound boar 'coon.
