Gov. Rick Perry said Wednesday that Sarah Palin is committed to campaigning for his re-election and that he welcomes the support of the soon-to-be-former Alaska governor.
"Sarah and I were friends well back before she became a national star," Perry told The Associated Press after a luncheon speech to a Lions Club in Conroe, just north of Houston. "She'll be here."
Republican Perry also said he intends to complete the full four years if he's re-elected next year to a third term. Palin, the GOP vice presidential nominee in 2008, resigned in a surprise announcement last week before completing her first term in office.
"Each person has to decide that on their own," he said, defending her decision.

He says he has no interest in going to Washington, but I have hope for a Perry/Palin ticket. Energy independence within reach!

That sure is an attractive ticket :texas:
I look forward to her next phase because I know the Dems and GOP are dreading it :naughty:

I think another reason that Sara has drawn so much attention/hatred from the media is that it gives them something to talk about besides 0Bama's failed and failing policies.

They got lucky with their timing with the Magic Bumbler in Russia during the Michael Jackson memorial circus. That cut down on his media coverage for a few days.

Gang, as GoldieAZ and seabelle have suggested, this is the Republican ticket come 2012. Gov. Perry is having Texas thrive in the down national economy, and this will be played up big in the 2010 and 2012 elections. Having Gov. Palin on board means that he'll pretty much crush the competition in both races.

I dunno, too many from our side attack Palin just like the DimWits. McCain ought to be keelhauled for his passing the buck to her over his loss. He never was a contender. If the Huckster hadn't helped him in WV, I doubt he would have had the nomination. What the 2 of them pulled in the primaries was nothing more than a low down dirty trick!
I like Palin but I am still thinking she may be a little too inexperienced for the big game. Perhaps after she matures a little more and is willing to play the same game the Dims do, I would change my mind. At least she talks like a conservative. Which is more than I can say for about 90% of the rest of the Repubes.

Sarah knows what she's doing.
If she campaigns for winners, they will be a powerful posse working for her next political move.

Doesn't Gov Perry have some 'splainin' to do when it comes to the border?
-
Perry is overrated in people's minds.

Perry has always reminded me of George W. Bush, since they were/are both governors of Texas and former college cheerleaders.

Yeah. She's only in her mid-40s, a baby in national politics, especially to the GOP.
