The sparkling husband primitive, who seems as obsessed with free medical care for all, as the mountain man primitive, the "ThomWVA" primitive. They're both about the same age; maybe they think free medical care for all will keep them alive forever.

My attempt at optimism regarding health care.
The House pretty much has the votes to do something meaningful on health care.
The problem is in the Senate, where the Blue Dogs are trying to make themselves meaningful. All we need from these ****ers is a vote for cloture. Not for a bill. Cloture. And that might be brought about by arm twisting more easily than an actual bill. And that would then bring a bill to the floor for that good old "upperdown" vote.
Then on to committee. And hopefully an improved bill.
And then, I think, we're down to the need for two simple majority votes. And then we need a presidential signature.
Lots of room for lots of devils to find details with which to dance, to be sure.
But yeah ..... maybe we *can* get something done.
...... or not.
Oh, I dunno.
Guess who shows up.....the bobbling primitive, who sure could use some of that rental housing the sparkling husband primitive owns.

1. Our favorite socialist senator is working to get that cloture agreement.
Send him support!

4. B e r n i e
Yeah, Jr. from Vermont, the senescent old guy who spitters and sputters, sputtering spittle in righteous indignation on those standing near him.
If franksolich ever had to testify in front of Jr. from Vermont, franksolich would demand a 3/4"-thick plexiglass screen, to avoid the precipitation.

6. He's the ONE! Wish he were my Senator!
I'd trade BOTH Udall and Bennett for him anyday!

3. The fact that they could...is going to just make it all the more enraging when they don't.
That was MY attempt at optimism. Did it work?
franksolich predicts they won't.

5. If your realism comes to pass, it will spell the end of the Democratic party.
Ed Schultz has been pounding on that very thing.
They can either wipe out the Republicans by doing the right thing on this, or they can wipe out themselves.
I think it will be one or the other.
Taking bets?

7. The word all of them seem to have forgotten is "Bold"
I apply that to all of them, from top to bottom.
That includes our president.
It applies to the lowliest freshman in Congress.
