They hate her coz she did what the "old feminist" told us we could do. But she's Conservative, and they just can't stand that. And "flyover country" likes her(she seems like one of them)

Same reason why vampires cringe at the sight of a crucifix.

Another person who is hated like Sarah Palin is Michele Bachmann, a Minnesota congresswoman, who is a Republican. They even tried to get her removed.

I smell fear. There is no other rational reason why a group of people would expend so much energy tearing someone down.

She is out of the same mold as Sarah Palin. I am beginning to think the only people with cajones in the GOP are the women. Very sad state of affairs.

Schadie, to compare Michelle Bachmann to Sarah Palin is a little bit of a stretch, IMO. I voted for Bachmann, BTW. What I think is that Sarah Palin respects the law, the Constitution and actually works for the people. She's a typical middle class person with middle class ideas. I can't quite comprehend why the left is so afraid of her, unless it's because she opposes BIG Government and frivolous handouts.

I didn't say they were carbon copies of one another, but they both possess moxie. They say what's on their mind, it doesn't matter to whom they are talking, and they don't pull any punches. Contrast that with the mealy mouth double speak of a lot of other conservatives we have today.
The left and the right are afraid of Palin because she bucks the establishment and completely turns all their assumptions about "what" a politician should be on its head. LOL.... it's about damn time! For all those people who call her a quitter, think again, she may be just answering a higher calling. There ARE more important things than politics.... family is one such thing.

Schadie, I lost a lot of respect for Bachmann when I lived in Ramsey. I was trying to get a problem resolved and after several calls and emails to her went unanswered, I lost faith in her. I even voted for her, too!!! She doesn't truly want to hear from her constituents, IMO.

Yep, that's disappointing.... I can totally understand. I got the same non-response from Pawlenty on an issue awhile back, it can really sour you on someone really quick.

I think you've hit on a lot of reasons why the left is afraid of her.
I would also add one more: She's pro-life.
There are a lot of "mothers" who would have said to hell with little Trig when the doctor found out his condition --he's too much of an inconvenience.
All of these pro-choicers probably cringe every time they see her holding on to him with a smile on her face.

That, and she's a threat to Obama in 2012 ? It's easier to shred her apart than to defend his letting the country circle the drain. At this minute, she could take him out with a wink :naughty: They hate that!
