Biden: Israel free to set own course on Iran
WASHINGTON – Vice President Joe Biden signaled that the Obama administration would not stand in the way if Israel chose to attack Iran's nuclear facilities, even as the top U.S. military officer said any attack on Iran would be destabilizing.
Biden's remarks suggested a tougher U.S. stance against Iran's nuclear ambitions. Nonetheless, administration officials insisted his televised remarks Sunday reflected the U.S. view that Israel has a right to defend itself and make its own decisions on national security.
*snip*
"Look, Israel can determine for itself — it's a sovereign nation — what's in their interest and what they decide to do relative to Iran and anyone else," Biden replied. He added that this was the case, "whether we agree or not" with the Israeli view.
Biden was then asked more pointedly whether the U.S. would stand in the way if the Israelis, viewing the prospect of an Iranian nuclear bomb as a threat to the existence of the Jewish state, decided to launch a military attack against Iranian nuclear facilities.
"Look, we cannot dictate to another sovereign nation what they can and cannot do," he said.

Notice not even a hint that the US would provide any sort of support. Of course if it goes badly, Barry & "Plugs" can say there was nothing they could do about it.

And this is completely at odds with 0Bama trying to interfere in the Honduras situation. :uhsure:

It's really not a good idea to assume that anything Biden says is intended to convey an official policy position, as opposed to being just his own random stream-of-consciousness blather. You can't tell the policy statements from the wacky stuff with him.

That's even assuming that he's being briefed on what the policy statements actually are. I see Lord Zero doing with Biden pretty much what FDR did with Truman - keeping him completely in the dark.

That shouldn't be hard to do.

It was also reported today that the Saudi's and other Arab countries would turn a blind eye to Israel using their airspace if necessary. Me thinks something is about to happen.....

It's in the Saudi's best interest to cut the bully down to size, and do so by proxy.
You can better believe that the Saudis and the other Arab countries in the region are just a wee bit nervous about the blatant attempts by Iran to go nuke. Having the Israelis trim that capability down to size and have it not cost a cent can only be good.
Turning a blind eye to aircraft violating airspace can be racked up to somebody who can take a convenient fall.
You know - like Obama and those he routinely throws under HIS bus. :rotf:
