Want to attend Jackson's memorial service? It'll cost you- $25
Fans who wish to attend Michael Jackson's star-studded memorial service at Staples Center will have to shell out $25 to sit in the stands, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.
Family, friends and VIPS will have seats on the main floor for The Tuesday, July 7th Staples service, first reported by RadarOnline.com, while the general public will be plucking down $25 to sit in the stands.
The memorial service will feel like a concert production featuring guest speakers, a lot of music and video screens inside and outside of Staples, a source close to the planning tells RadarOnline.com.
Michael Jackson's close friend Elizabeth Taylor is expected to attend, along with Diana Ross.
T-shirts that were going to be sold on Michael's upcoming "This Is It" tour will not go to waste. They will be sold outside Staples to people entering the service.

1. thought so... I didn't imagine they'd open up Staples for free. Seems weird to charge for a funeral

16. I dunno, I think its pretty fair
Its pretty obvious this is not to make a profit - they have to hire security, pay for AC, etc...

15. Well they do have to pay for the facilities
$25 is pretty reasonable, considering the Security, AC, Power and whatnot.
Even most DUmmies seem to realize what a tacky, tawdry mess this is. And this is just the beginning. The pervert has a big extended family.
Not one of them, outside Janet, have ever made a dime without sponging off the pervert.
You can expect decades of family infighting, feuds, and lawsuits as they try to make a buck off his bones.
Not unlike the ML King money factory.

I thought Elizabeth Taylor and Diana Ross were dead.
Apparently I missed something.
Aren't they, like, pretty ancient?

.....and of course no celebrity funeral would be complete without wall to wall coverage by the state run media. What a freak show this will be.

A Wellstone funeral?

They didn't think it was going to be "free", did they? :evillaugh:
Somebody, somewhere will make a mint off of Jackson's death. I'm not surprised his family wants in on the action.

This one will make the Wellstone lollapalooza look like High Mass.

Fox News is reporting that the "fustercluck" at the Staples Center is going to be free this morning.

They have to 'hire' people and pay for facilities? :lmao: You mean like a normal family would pay for the use of a chapel, perhaps a wake and manage (on that scale) to not charge admission to their family and friends. :lmao:
On that note, I am hard pressed to remember other people of hmm popularity or prominence charging admission to a memorial service. I think this should give us a good idea of the kind of pressure MJ was under from a mooching family. Pitiful really. I have no pity for what looked like his pedophile ways or at least the general creepiness, but I sure feel for a guy that probably had love attached to how much he was willing to share with his 'family'.

Diana is in her mid-ish 60s and still active. Elizabeth is late 70s and "not dead yet", as she told a reporter a while back.

Saw where his casket cost $25K. The primitives should be complaining about that any time now.

Not a chance. He belongs to many preferred classes: a black, over age 50, mentally ill, physically mutilated, queer.
Any negative comment would surely constitute a hate crime.
