Week is sorta flying.
Little overcast and cooler today. Highs in the low 60's which figures because I'm going kayaking later this afternoon with my wife and a bunch of folks she works with. :p
I'm the proudish new owner of a 12.9 foot Ocean Kayak to go with the Spitfire I bought for my wife last month. We went and got me "fitted" at a local store where you can test paddle anything in their inventory and they tried me on 3 different boats. The one I got fits my ass like a glove and felt totally natural when I was paddling it.

Mine is "Wheat" colored.
We are eventually going to replace her Spitfire with something a little better and it will go to one of the kids.
Heading out for my Brother's place in Minneapolis this weekend for a party celebrating my nephew's graduation. Should be a good time. The only person from our family that couldn't make it up there is my Mom.

Looking out the window and seeing the mist, rain, and fog, I'd swear today was April 1st, not July 1st.
We had ONE day above 80 degrees last month, and it rained on that day as well.

Spent my morning at the ballfield, just like almost every other morning so far this summer. Taking the boys to see a movie this afternoon, then we will go watch the LL All Star game this evening (12 yr olds).
Daughter is gone for 3 weeks at the Governor's School program. They upload pictures and video daily, so I get to see her on occasion, though!
Mr Flame is working the "late" shift this month, which mean 9:30-6 instead of 7:30-4. Still hgaven't gotten our truck back...now they are saying Monday. :banghead:

arggghhhhhh!
I am soooo technically challenged. :bawl: Something has happened to the copy/print/scan/fax machine. I can't make copies, print or print out faxes, nor will it scan. It will print eventually....but takes 20 minutes to do a page. The only thing I can figure out it that it got zapped with too many power outages with the storms last week. :bawl: :bawl: :bawl:
Otherwise just having a happy, happy work day..... ::)

Welcome to the club. :cheersmate: I've never used a sit-on-top kayak... that one looks comfortable, and you won't have to carry thirty pounds of water in the bottom of your boat after you're done.
I'm off tomorrow. At this point, it's all I care about. I've slept like shit since they changed my hours at work, and its been ungodly busy too.

2 hours out on the water! :yahoo:
Where has this sport been all my life?! :-)
We paddled all around lake wingra and went up a stream and saw the spring that feeds the lake. I got within touching distance of a great blue heron and a couple of snowey egrets too.
