The folks are finally waking up.
Like the story says, if the economy doesn't turn around this year, congressional democrats will pay the price. Republicans stand a very good chance of regaining their lost majority status. This time, they better do it right and hold a tough line on spending.

The way he's handling the Honduras turmoil won't help much either, The economy is what's really hurting him, though. It seems that most Americans have waken up with regards to cap-and-tax and socialized medicine, but still:
"Just over a month ago, 62 percent of Americans said that no matter what's happened in the last six months, George Bush is still more to blame for the economic mess than Barack Obama. That number fell to 54 percent, and the more of Obama's policies that are put in place, the more the blame or perhaps the credit will shift to the current president."
That's only about the percentage of people who voted for him. ::)
I never could see what they saw in him in the first place either.

I remember telling others that Obama and Democrats got it because of the economy, and that they better make the economy improve or else they won't get it again.

That's impossible because economics doesn't work that way but their arogance won't allow them to see that. If economies could be played like a fiddle every president would get re-elected but economies are almost alive with a mind of their own because they are the sum of billions of live beings acting on their personnel needs and wants.
There are only 2 things ANY government can do to an economy:
A) take so much money out of the economy so as to wreck it
B) not do A)
You cannot script the needs and wants of 6.5 billion humans.
